I REALLY HOPE Transformers is coming to Wii U. I find it beyond ridiculous if it does not. I will reserve judgement until we hear about Nintendo Direct and the third party games.
I understand third parties arguments about being on Nintendo platforms. I also understand why Nintendo doesn't money hat ports that everyone else gets. But if they can't get a game like transformers, which meets ALL their demographics, that is a sign of real trouble. Again, I will reserve judgement.

Its funny that everyone was excited for this game till we found out it wasn't coming to the Wii U. Its more like Platnuim games typically sell like crap so the studio has to take more generic work for hire inbetween their biggger games. Also I doubt this game is a waste of Platinum talents when the last two transformers games are crtictally acclaimed and the art style looks exactly like the G1 cartoons.
Even with Microsoft's marketing machine i'm expecting Scalebound too bomb just because.

Platinum Games' new game is...another lisenced game published by a company that will never give them the time necessary to make a decent game. Because why learn from the same exact mistake you've been making with all of your games for the past 15 years that wasn't Call of Duty when you can just have an extremely high turn around of customers instead? Hey, that means you never really have to make anything really new, because it'll be new to every round of suckers who buy your game this month!
Bite me. Maybe it'll wake me up from this nightmare...

Ummm... No. If it was MGR: Rising 2, I would be hyped. Same for Vanquish 2 or a new IP. But Transformers???? Just ugh. Platinum's Legend of Korra was nothing that special either.

My only problem with this is platinum is making this new transformers game. It might be good who knows? I'm not judging it right now,i'm sad that it isn't High Moon studios making this. The studio that made the amazing Cybertron games(And no not the movies games) So i'm meh with this and i don't think the team that made Bayonetta 2, is making this i think it's the one that made the legend of Korra one. Still going to play it tho

I never expected it to come to Wii U, and I was never interested in transformers.
I'm just making an observation based on what I've seen as of late. If the game is good, good for the fans, but given Activision's reputation with this kind of stuff, I'm not going to get on that hype train.

As for Ryu it's not surprising. It's just free advertising for Street Fighter V. MGS4 never came to Nintendo either but Snake was in Brawl anyways and helped grab many Nintendo gamers's attentions.
Yeah, but what's in it for Nintendo? It seems asinine to advertise Sony's newest exclusive like this.
Easy money.
Where? Smash DLC characters are tools to keep people interested in the game. Ryu as a DLC character is certainly not enough reason to make anyone finally take the plunge and get a Wii U with Smash. But it does advertise Capcom's IP, which is coming exclusively to Playstation 4. So yeah, what I see here is easy money for Capcom, not Nintendo.
Kinda annoying that my second monitor decided to die only a few weeks ago. Will make trying to watch these conference streams live and a twitter feed going at the same time slightly more annoying. I'm going to have to single screen all of these press conferences or, heaven forbid, find some space on my desk for a laptop or something. Somehow. Hooray! First world problems!
