If you wanna try something super weird, PICROSS X: PICBITS VS UZBOROSS has a bunch of weird speed run modes where you solve a ton of 5x5s in a row under various conditions.
I'll look into it, though 5x5 sounds awfully small. I fear it's going to be too easy.
Piczle Cross (non Jupiter) is mainly nice because it lists all your best times for each puzzle so is fun to replay. Plus the style of puzzles is very different than the Jupiter games in a hard to explain way.
Piczle Cross Adventure was ok. I liked the overworld but the story was boring. Puzzles were fine.
I also played Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons which I didn't really like. I have very little experience with Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons but I felt like even if I had played them, most faces were so generic that there was no way one could name every character from the initial black & white image. It also got boring because mostly everything was just a face and faces tend to have the same features, meaning less variation.
Piczle Cross isn't quite as polished as Jupiter's series. I've encountered frame drops, dropped inputs and rendering errors. The algorithm that auto-dims solved hints doesn't work perfectly either. But for couple of euros (they're often on sale), they're not bad.
The one thing I don't like about Mario Picross is that it tells you when you make a mistake. I would rather realize that myself and go back and fix it without the hint.
100% agreed. I kind of forgot about it. Must have had my nostalgia glasses on. First thing I do in any nonogram game is turn off all the extra hint stuff. The new SNK & Capcom Picross games have a time trial mode which has one of the settings permanently enabled which just made things harder for me as I was not used to it. Still got gold in all but one time trial on my first go, often with at least a minute to spare.

@FishyS I'm currently playing Kemono Friends Picross, but one of my favourite nonogram games is a mobile game called Pixel Puzzle Collection, which is essentially Konami Picross. Loads of classic Konami-themed puzzles with an amazing soundtrack.
Answers to puzzles #13 and #14:
Double boom! It's Voltorb and Electrode!
Time for something that doesn't explode:
@Dogorilla Just wanted to say that I appreciate having someone who takes time out of their day to solve every single puzzle I've posted. And you've been spot on with your answers too!
I'm happy that this thing worked out and there's an audience for my silly little puzzles, however small it might be. Thanks to everyone else who have participated. I literally have hundreds of these so I'll continue as long as there's interest.
I'm slightly surprised Eel hasn't made an appearance yet since they are the one person I knew from the get-go who likes nonograms.

@Late No problem, solving these has been a nice relaxing way to spend a few minutes every couple of days! Not sure if I'll be able to fit them in next week as I'm going on holiday, but under normal circumstances I'll keep doing them as long as you're posting them
#15 is Jack Frost from SMT
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@Late Just thought I'd post to let you know there is more of a following. I have done them all and enjoyed them. I just don't post because I've only known probably a little over half of them (not your fault, I usually don't know what the puzzles in actual published Picross games are either until the game tells me). But I look always look forward to doing them. Thanks.
@Xyphon22 I had a feeling there might be a lurker or two since there's unfortunately not much room for interaction in the first place. Once someone has the answer, it doesn't add much to repeat it. It's nice to be able to confirm there are others though. Glad you've liked the puzzles so far too.
