Topic: Facial Recognition now a thing

It just keeps getting worse and worse and it doesn't seem to matter to anyone, if all that Age Verification nonsense on the internet wasn't bad enough, They're now rolling out Facial Recognition vans across the country to "help identify sex offenders or people wanted for the most serious crimes"
The technology has already been proven to be discriminatory against communities of colour, it has been known to lead to misidentification and the risk of wrongful arrest and it's also known to be less accurate in scanning the faces of people of colour.
At what point does all this just become a massive big push against every perceived freedom we have in this world.
As the late George Carlin put it all those years ago 'Forget the politicians, politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice.. You Don't, you have no choice you have owners they own YOU! but I'll tell you what they don't want, they don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking!

Re. Facial recognition etc. - is anyone actually surprised? Unless we all down tech and join forces with the Ewoks, we can pretty much expect privacy and 'freedoms' to be continually eroded at the hands of Big Tech Corp.
