For some reason, my DSi and my DSiWare game that is on my 3DS (M vs DK Minis March Again) will not go online. I keep on getting the same error code, 52000. I looked up the error code on support.nintendo.com, and it told me there must be something wrong with my router. I use Verizon FiOS, but its not one of the listed routers. Can anyone help?
Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
I'll look for it but I don't remember off the top of my head. I think it was the security settings. I'm not going to pretend I know how this works though

DS games do not support WPA or WPA2. The exception is certain types of cartridges, such as Pokemon Black & White's. Supported encryption strength is fully dependent on the game, and not the console. The solution may be to lower your router's security. The odd thing is that your DSiWare game does not work, since DSiWare titles, AFAIK, support all current security settings. Mind is drawing a blank.
Okay, so first off this is the best explanation I can come up with:
1. Your router is set to use WPA or WPA2 encryption, therefor, DS games regardless of system cannot connect online. 2. DSiWare titles do support WPA and WPA2 encryption. The only explanation why both DS games and DSiWare games are not working is that your 3DS's internet connections have been set up, but the separate DS ones used to connect DS and DSiWare titles online haven't been. Please go to your 3DS's settings from the Home Menu, go to "Internet Settings" and then tap on "Nintendo DS Connections." Fill out your connection information and try the DSiWare title again.
If you aren't using WPA or WPA2 encryption, I have no idea what is going on.
My router is WEP, not WPA or WPA2. I have configured my 3DS's connection and my DSi's connection. (Including the DS connection on my 3DS) Still nothing. It's odd though. At first, the connection status shows three full bars like its supposed too, but then it shrinks down to no bars. Then it gives me the error code. I'm lost.

What signal type is your Router? You know, it's a little letter? I don't know much about type's, but I had to change mine to get my DSi to work. Should be in the router setting's somewhere. That's the only thing I can think of.
It's probably either G or N. But I don't think I can change it. Each router has its own letter. I'm curious as to how you were able to change it.
Pretty sure some routers have it in the router settings? This is not my strong point. According to an error code search in Nintendo's support section for the 3DS, it says that the error means the 3DS was unable to obtain your router's IP adress automatically, and they suggest entering it under the settings manually. Have you done that?
As said before, my router isn't listed on there, so it can't help me. I don't think it shows any high-speed internet routers, which is what I have. (Verizon FiOS)
