Personally I don't. I actually have trouble finishing games, as I tend to stop playing once I get to a mandatory tedious part. That's part of why I don't hate Super Mario Sunshine as much as a lot of people do. I just don't play the tedious parts. I don't see the reason I should endure something boring in entertainment media.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
If I do, it's because of two reasons - it's not that difficult to do (especially if I can do it on my first try with no backtracking or replaying levels), and I don't have much else to play. But usually there is something else to play or something else in my backlog that I haven't beaten or got bored with yet, so I shelf the game after seeing the credits roll and doing the aftergame if there is some.
Only when there is an in-game reward (ie. Kingdom Hearts for secret movies, rewards for completing the Pokedex, or fighting a final boss like MH3U). I see no need for trivial things like account trophies because I believe the games should be made to be worthwhile (in-game rewards), not having tacked on trophies after the fact for pseudo-replayability.
When 100% gives actual rewards, I'm more likely to do it. There's also certain genres in which I'm more likely to go for it as well. Sandbox games and first person shooters? I'll probably just try to beat the game. Platformers? I'll definitely go for 100%. RPGs? I'll try to do everything, then burn out and not even finish the game.
It depends on how time consuming it is. Child of Light, I grabbed 100% on new game + because it was fairly easy to get. However, I also enjoyed Other M quite a bit, but skipped 100% due to it seeming like a rather time consuming endeavor.
Yeah, depends on the game...I sometimes do it with Zelda games. But games like Smash Bros it seems near impossible for me to unlock every single thing. xD

Keep it PG-13-ish.
I'm a fairly dedicated completionist, so I usually try to 100% most games I play (other than Pokémon). If I get to something tedious, I usually just put up with it in hopes of encountering something more fun later on to make up for it, and that's usually what happens.
Out of the thirty five games on my trophies list, I have sixteen platinum trophies, eight 100%s, and the other eleven are either beaten or I haven't gained an interest in playing them, yet.
So, yeah, kind of.

I always want to see everything in a Mario game and that's always been fun to me. So not being able to tell in which area i still need to find blue coins was quite a disappointment. If it weren't for that i don't think i'd have any beef with this game really.
I always 100% games even if I enjoyed them or not and if its also possible to do like Mario games for example. The only games I don't complete 100% are games that will only benefit your progress like RPG's and Zelda.
I did however 100% Thousand Year Door though. Its such a masterpiece that I simply can't get enough of! But there are games like Mass Attack that don't make me want to 100% certain games cause I didn't enjoy them a lot.
But I do enjoy 100% games in general. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something in life.
I only 100% good games with useful things to collect, fun things to see, levels to unlock, additional modes etc. Games that are filled out with boring content like AC games are just terrible to me.
