Thanksgiving week 2009 amazed me, and I thought Mario's vertical was a nice fact. Other than that, most of it wasn't new, but still kinda cool to see all in one graphic.

i may hve brought this up beore, but for those who may not remember. but, if you`re interested in nintendo`s history, check out "game over" by david sheff. the book gives a reasonsbly detailed account of nintendo`s history from the early playing card manufacturing days, up `til around the N64 era. very interesting read.
I think the only one i didn't know was the meaning of "Nintendo" in Japanese.
FYI, the "adult" games for the NES are just about as adult -- or less -- than those moving tile type games you'll find in a pub with a topless or bikini chick picture to be revealed. Or about the same level as Sexy Poker, just with 8-bit anime-ish girl pics. I checked out the roms not long ago ... for purely research purposes, of course. =P
Hey, the Nintendo Cereal System was awesome and part of this balanced breakfast. (Even if it was just Fruit Loops and was nowhere near as good as Pac-Man cereal)

I loved novelty cereals during that time. The Nintendo System, Mr T cereal, Swedish Chef's Croonchy Stars, Bill and Ted's Excellent Cereal ... ahh, good times.
I knew most of that info, some of it was interesting, but the one thing I didn't know was reference to high difficulty as being "Nintendo Hard" >_> wut? Seriously..., anyone here use that? I don't.

To make games last longer, many NES games were insanely hard to beat.
Oh, yes. I know that too well. And this is not only true for the NES but for all other systems from the 8-Bit era. I had at the time a lot of C64 games but I can not think of a single one that I have played through without cheating. That was kind of ridiculous.
