Has anyone gotten the Wii Remote wrist strap set from club nintendo? (https://club.nintendo.com/rewards-details/a/19002.do) If so, I would like to know if the cord that you loop through the Wiimote is the same length, shorter, or longer than the loop on the standard Wii wrist staps. (A measurement of the cord from base to tip of the loop would be great!)

I ask this because I want a blue wrist strap for my DSIxl, and the Wiimote wrist strap would work just fine, if the cord loop were a bit longer.

They are the same straps nowadays. Nintendo offered early replacement straps in around 2007 due to them breaking and the like. All the straps should now be the stronger models.

Honestly, I don't think those wrist straps are the best use of coins, considering you can buy a set of wrist straps for $2 on eBay.

Well, I've bought many wrist straps on ebay, and they never seem to be the proper length for what I want to use them for. They tend to be too small or too flimsy for any real use. The only exception would be the promotional wrist straps that Atlus gave away years ago at conventions. I still have a few of those left (and I love them) but the cord is slightly too short for how I would want to use it on my DSIxl. The pack available at club nintendo are the durable Wii ones, which would be perfect (especially since I have a Blue XL) but if the cord is the same length as my Wii ones, it would still be slightly too short.

Hopefully someone out there in TV land has both straps that they can do a side by side comparison. (Fingers crossed!!)
