I wonder if the next gen consoles will support the resolution. .
Maybe... if they used two medium-high-range GPU's.
As for the topic, I'm weary of how Microsoft is handling Windows 8. I feel like they're pushing the Metro UI to our faces, which doesn't leave me impressed so far. The bigger concern is that they're changing the operating system in favor of the tablet craze that went on for only a few years. This may have an impact to non-tablet users (which is still a lot) and people who use Windows for work. It just seems a little silly, considering that Windows was designed as a desktop OS for work and education. I'll have to try the beta build when it releases to get a glimpse of what the future will be :3
CES update: @ATT announces wireless data plans for 3G/WiFi PS Vita: $14.99 for 250MB, $25 for 2GB — no contracts
@bobbikat it may be that I'm a fan of metronome but i don't think their forsaking the regular desktop. arm tablets can only runmetrowhile the Intel devices can rum.both. that and they need to focus on the metronome as the desktop isn't changing that much.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
This new Primetime Anytime initiative from DiSH is quite impressive. I also like the idea of being able to record up to six shows simultaneously as that is truly innovative. The only thing that worries me is price. I'm hoping that the acquisition of Blockbuster by DiSH will help to keep them alive because Blockbuster is iconic and I don't want Blockbuster to become extinct.
That just blows you out of the water. The DiSH Hopper has two terabytes! Plus it will offer music. I just don't understand why they are making a fuss over Latino Channels. If they care so much about Latinos they should do that in a Spanish keynote. We are English speakers.
I wonder if Nintendo will demonstrate new games for the Wii U at CES 2012? I mean, they didn't REALLY show anything of substance at E3 2011 in terms of software for the Wii U save for that beautiful Legend of Zelda HD game which was later revealed to be a cutscene and not actual game play which is shameful beyond deceptive and not to mention a let down.
Nintendo needs to stop ball dropping at the CES to wait for E3 and actually show software at CES just as Sony does. Sony is going to have new game demos and software previews for both the PS Vita and the PS3. From what I have read the Nintendo 3DS is going to be absent and there is little to no software according to my knowledge for the Wii U at CES 2012 and that literally is disappointing.
Nintendo and Microsoft are both highly foolish to skip and ball drop at the CES in my humble opinion.
I think Intel has really hit the nail on the head with Ultrabook. Ultrabook looks to be a real and truly game changer.

Agree 100%. And thanks for the Joystiq link, they're one of my favorite gaming sites. I used to go to IGN back in the day, but their site is terribly designed now. Is GameSpot any good still?
Since when did Samsung and LG become such big global electronics conglomerates? I remember back in the early 1990's when Samsung was known for their terrible quality knock-offs of Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic. And LG used to be 2 separate companies (Lucky and Goldstar) who were both known for their crappy products.
Now both Samsung and LG are more popular than Sony and Panasonic. I guess South Korea is "the new Japan" in terms of electronics innovation. My how times have changed.
