Before anyone says this does not relate to Gaming. It actually does~ π€·ββοΈπ€£ Recently I got Pompompurin, Badtz Maru, Cotton Candy Cinnamoroll, & Pochacco (wanted chocolate chip pochacco but was sold out so settled for regular pochacco instead because still one of my favorite characters). Anyway's wanted to get Chococat as last hello kitty build a bear stuffed animal relating to hello kitty. I don't normally read reviews for stuffed animals more so out of curiosity read the reviews for chococat on build a bears website with very mixed reviews alot of good & bad. Read all of the reviews. Some of the reviews where autistic people already bought the stuffed animal something about the stuffed animal being low quality, scratchy etc. I also unfortunately have autism myself but want to go to build a bear in a few weeks & see for myself vs online. Got the stuffed animals after playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure nintendo switch. Also got Bluey Nintendo Switch more on a wim wasn't sure if I would like it or not but been playing it on my switch lite & love it which led to me watching the cartoon on the disney channel which right now between that & Phineas & Ferb are the only 2 I watch on there. Anyways saw build a bear also has Bluey & Bingo as well as Chococat.
My question is get: Chococat & his pajamas? Or get Bluey with 2 added sounds, lavender sentiments his shirt & pajamas? Bingo want to get later.
If Chococat really is lower quality etc not sure I want to spend the money on him but like his as a character & been into hello kitty for 30+ years~ π€·ββοΈ
Bluey just got into & really enjoy. Tough decisions~ π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€£
Thanks for any advice on the this topic. π€·ββοΈβοΈ
I thought this topic might be yours Barbie Gurl π.
Your choice at the end of the day really as to what takes your fancy. Where would it go in your room? I guess you could try and envision what would fit best.
You seem almost apologetic about being Autistic. Don't be. I am as well, and I know there are at least two others in these forums with it too. You like what you like and do what you do to feel happy. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Seeing as you seem to want some opinions though, I would say Bluey.
This is entirely my bias, having voiced Bluey's Dad in a fan animation π. Guess I have an affinity in that respect, but that would be my choice! I also borrowed some Bluey books from the library for my niece, and Iβd be lying if I said I didnβt enjoy reading them to her!
I don't know anything about Hello Kitty though.
@Anti-matter might possibly be a good ask in this situation. I think he likes both franchises. Sorry if I am wrong Anti!
Chococat would almost complete my set tempted to get My Sweet Piano because she's my favorite color pink & also reminds me of Lamp Chops only pink instead of red & white lol~ π€£ Also tempted to get Hangyodon as well. Love there personalities in hello kitty island adventure nintendo switch plus after watching My Melody & Kuromi series on Netflix I like My Sweet Piano even more than I did before besides My Melody & Mimmy (Kitty Whites Twin sister). Unfortunately I don't know anyone else that collects build a bear stuffed animals as for friends or family other wise I would ask. The few I do know are cousins but live to far away... π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ Thanks anyways for the advice~ ππ
I was actually thinking that & maybe getting chococat, my sweet Piano, hangyodon a little later. Of course if I get Bluey I will definitely get Bingo as well just not sure if in the same trip or 2 different trips. Going to try & hold some cash back for renaissance festival in September~ π€·ββοΈπ€£ As for the autism me personally not saying everyone else I'm embarrassed my autism (mild) people either assume I'm a genius or an idiot. A few people who met me in the past saying maybe a few years ago tried talking really slowly to me after someone mentioned I have autism & when I said I could speak in full sentences I guess I shocked them at first but they were annoying me be thinking I was dummy. It's funny before I was diagnosed the term learning disability was used. Alway's feel like the odd one out at times then to top it with looking younger in my 30's & still having a severe stuttering problem which thankfully the stuttering has semi gone away over the year's for the most part. No one takes me seriously out in public because of naturally looking younger. Several times people have tried to take advantage by pulling crap on me including several year's ago when 28 tried to return a cd with the reciept to walmart talked calm an older guy behind the counter called me a punk teenager & to get out of the store right in front of my step mom & my step mom stepped in even to back me up telling the guy I really was 28 the guy was still giving us a problem to the point I got so ticked off whipped out my ID & basically threw it on the counter & told the guy to read the year on it I was born. Right on the card said: 1987 the guy did a double take then apologized & said I'm so sorry mam. I told him to save it after insulting me. Several times at restaurants no matter which restaurant we go to the few times I got an alcoholic beverage which isn't often been carded. The waitress at TGI Friday's laughed at & said sorry we don't serve minors I need to see ID. Showed her my ID she did a double take & said wow you look young I seriously thought you were a high schooler... π€¦ββοΈ Then to make matters worse when really trying to research autism on my own internet etc looking younger is associated with autism supposedly. Just my luck~ π€¦ββοΈπ€£

This is definitely a thing! I still have some people asking me if I'm studying or if I've started working yet. I left formal education 20 years ago! As soon as I had completed the mandatory legal requirements for it.
I don't know what the reasoning behind it is. Iβm sure thereβs some science behind it, but I like to think some of it is just retaining an innocent naivety that keeps us that way. π
@Barbiegurl777 Honestly, either option seems pretty good to me. Going to Build-A-Bear Workshop in person would definitely be worth doing, see if you can try holding the Chococat and Bluey plushes and judge for yourself on how they feel. Or have somebody who works there give you their thoughts.
Just curious, do you like holding plushes, or having them on display? You've mentioned Chococat potentially being lower quality - if you do like how he feels or if you want to display him, I'd say you should get him to complete your Hello Kitty collection. Otherwise, or if you want a little more variety, get Bluey and Bingo. That's the best advice I can give. I would think you'd be happy with either option, if it comes down to that. It's ultimately your choice at the end of the day.
Don't worry about being autistic by the way, you do what makes you comfortable and you keep enjoying what you do like. And remember that if people are mean to you, that is their problem, not yours. This is coming from someone who is also on the spectrum. I've had instances of being bullied in school years ago for liking what I like, and it was totally miserable for sure... but I've grown a lot since then and I started to love and accept myself more and more. We're nice people here at Nintendo Life... always remember that.

I'm also sure there's a science behind it as well. I still remember freshman year of high school an older kid said to me great there letting elementary kids in now. I looked at him totally baffled & said what are you talking about? He said your not an elementary kid or prodigy I said no turned 15. He did a double take & said I for real thought you were either a elementary kid or prodigy. This has been going on for as far back as I can remember with looking younger~ π€¦ββοΈ Definitely awkward at times. Senior year of high school one of my friends decided to play a prank on me by having freshman come up to me & ask if I was a freshman some went along with the prank others genuinely asked me & really thought I was in there grade. I told them the next person to ask me was getting reported to the principal then after talking to them found out some went along with the prank & others really didn't know one way vs another. π€¦ββοΈ
I might get both. Definitely decided on getting Bluey for sure. If I decide to not get Chococat (cat lover) I might still get his adorable pj's to put on other stuffed animals or even my my buddy or kid sister doll's~ π€£ Hmmm... To answer your question I like holding & playing with my stuffed animals, dressing them up, tea parties, playing poker & video games with them been doing that sort since early 90's not sure how to play poker for real it's my own version lol probably could display them as well never gave it much thought until now. I get what your saying with school as well took my fair share of crap in school more in elementary ironically in high school was basically a breeze for the most part. I'm pretty easy to get along with although I noticed at least back then I alway's seemed to get along great with those younger or older but people the same age & same grade not so much. That did have me baffled back then~ π€·ββοΈ Yeah going with my cousin there in few weeks I prefer in store vs online. Sometimes have no choice when they make stuff online exclusive then I order online but prefer in person sometimes~ π€·ββοΈπ€£
@Barbiegurl777 OK, that sounds like a plan. Bluey is a good choice for sure, since you're just getting into the show... hopefully Chococat will still be a good one for you also. That's nice, I wanted to ask since I wasn't sure if you also like having your stuffed animals on display or something. Holding them is nice for sure! I find that just holding soft stuff like teddy bears gives a sense of comfort and is good for mental health. Yeah, I don't mind either online or being in the store for shopping, but sometimes I prefer being in the store in person as well. Since I'd immediately have the product I bought and I wouldn't have to worry about any shipping damage, lol. You have a good trip when you go, by the way. Do let us know how Chococat feels and if you decide to get him.

I went to build a bear this past Sunday. Couldn't stay for long. Decided to get Chococat's pj's then decide later when out with my cousin in a few weeks to the mall but decided I'm going to get both bluey & chococat as long as both are in stock. π€·ββοΈ I did get to touch Chococat he feels fluffy / soft. Not sure what the reiews were talking about after seeing him in person. π€·ββοΈ Does anyone know how many build a bear stuffed animals will fit in the build a bear draw string backpack? Thinking were going to walk around quite a bit in the mall & I use a mini backpack (Stitch themed) as a purse~ π€·ββοΈπ€£ I have several mini backpacks but between stitch & pooh bear both are my favorite I also have the hello kitty & Beetlejuice themed backpacks because Beetlejuice is my favorite movie along with having the Beetlejuice build a bear stuffed animal got him last year on my birthday~ π€·ββοΈ Yeah as for stuffed animals or doll's I like to sleep with them, watch TV with them, play video games with them. For the longest time in the 90's when I still had my super nintendo my Roger Rabbit pull string doll, starbrite Sparkles doll & Christina Special Blessings Prayer doll were my video game buddy's back then who I liked Gaming with besides my dad & cousin's & friends from school etc. Now when I do switch its gaming with my my buddy or kid sister doll or starbrite Sparkles or any of my other doll's. Kind of ironic how that hasn't changed since I was a kid. Some habits never die lol~ π€·ββοΈπ€£ Ohh in bluey going to get bluey theme song sound , bluey 5 phrases, lavender scent, & beating heart. Is that to many to put in the stuffed animal? Honestly just curious. π€·ββοΈ
@Barbiegurl777 Sounds like you got both Bluey and Chococat, that's good to hear. As for how many would fit in that draw string backpack, it depends on what size the plushes and backpack are. If it helps you to know, I took a plane trip a couple months ago. Alongside my Switch, headphones, and some other things, I fit my Mickey and Minnie plushes in my carry-on bag (which is a bit larger than a lunch box if you want a comparison) for comfort. My plushes got to see me play Super Mario 3D World during the plane trip, lol. Even got a compliment for my plushes, too. As for what things you're wanting to add to your Bluey plush, feel free to add however much you want. It's your plush after all.

Awesome~ π Went to build a bear today got Bluey with his theme song, 5 phrases in 1 & a lavender scent. Never did scents before but heard lavender in supposed to help with better sleep. Always down for trying anything to making my sleep time better at night~ π΄π€ Was going to add the beating heart but decided to pass. Also got Bingo with his 5 phrases in 1 along with Chococat~ π I love all 3. Can't stop holding chococat he's so fluffy~ π»π§ΆπΉ I also decided to get Pompompurin's Donut outfit in the store that was supposed to be an online exclusive yet ironically my build a bear store I went to had the outfit so got it. Already have the regular Pompompurin & his pompompurin pajamas~ ππ That way he can have an extra outfit totally pompompurin themed~ ππ I also had a $30 off coupon from build a bear bonus club which definitely helped~ π€£βοΈ
@Barbiegurl777 Nice, that's awesome. Sounds like a good haul you've built there too. Good to see you're wanting to have better sleep. Lately I've been listening to oldies on Cozy Vintage's YouTube channel during the night. They're lovely to listen to! I posted a couple of their oldies ambiance videos on the "what are you listening to" thread if you're interested.

Yeah for sleep. Gone through a whole ritual of things at this point lol:
Vision Eye Drops
Breathe Right Strips
Vicks Vapor Rub on my chest
Had to replace my old bed this year because it finally went to bed heaven lol so ended up getting a bed that moves reclines the head & feet been reclining both especially the head to lower eye pressure thinking it's already working went to the eye doctor got the eye pressure down to 16 & 17 from 18 & 19 about a year ago. Adding bluey with the lavender scent was extra lol. I do alot of tossing & turning in my sleep from the time I was little & used to take me close to 30 minutes to fall asleep back then now maybe 10 to 15 minutes to sleep. π€·ββοΈπ€£ Can't think of anything else to add to sleep routine at night but alway's up for suggestions. π€·ββοΈβοΈ
