I have never played it, nor do I own a single Magic card. But my friend plays it and he said I should get into it. I did some research on it and it looks fun. What do you guys think? Does anyone here play it? Is this topic pointless?

I played it in middle school and still have tons of cards and decks. However, I haven't played the game in practically a decade and am just hanging onto the rare cards to sell one day. Just get your friend to teach you and ask to use one of his decks to play for awhile instead of spending money to buy your own cards (it was expensive in the 90s so I imagine cards are even more expensive now). If you are still interested, then you can start buying your own cards. Personally, the game died for me after the Urza release in the 90s and I know no one who still plays, even people I used to play with.
I always found card games to be a waste of time and money. I seen people putting too much care in to these cards, to a point, they believe they are judge by there Deck. Not to sound mean to people who like card games but, most of the people I see playing them in my college, don't look like someone you want to grow up to be.
