Thank you for the very quick response. I really appreciate it.

One of the first series I ever started was Eyeshield 21 and I really loved that even though I didn't finish it (will do someday) and knew nothing about the sport at all (American Football). Slam Dunk & Kuroko's Basketball were the two sport-based series that caught my eye the most and I don't even watch/follow Basketball either.

Toriko was recommended to me by a few One Piece fans (which says a lot considering One Piece is a pretty weird/crazy series ) that I know so I noted that down.

The only thing I'd like to ask about Hunter X Hunter is: Anime or Manga?

For now I'll start with Magi then.

I've only seen the 2011 Anime series, but at no point did I ever feel like I should've read the manga.

Monster Musume is an ecchi manga with a ton of fan service, that somehow got licensed in English and is sold in Barnes & Noble stores for some reason...

The story revolves around a young man that agreed to become the host (or guardian) of a lamia girl after the entire world found out that demi-humans exist. Over the course of a few chapter's he hilariously becomes the host to a many more monster girls, harem style.

While Monster Musume is fun for the most part, the newest chapters (19+) have taken an extreme dive in terms of humor or actual "story". Now it's just mindless fan service...

@Spanjard it's been a while since I stopped one piece(the episodes started piling up more and more so I lost motivation) so I'm not sure I've seen this before...

Yeah he's a character from One Piece.

Sorry by the way, I didn't intend on confusing anyone. This character just makes me laugh. His name is Señor Pink and was recently introduced in the manga (hasn't appeared in the anime yet).

that explains it I stopped one piece in 2012 and forgot pretty much all that happened before the marineford arc... so there are two gaps for me to fill... ^^'

Yeah Chapter 21 was surprisingly shocking towards the ending with the light bondage scene (a little out of left field). I just would hate to not finish the story at this point, although there is a lack of character development I do find myself caring about the characters and want to see who ends up with whom.

I just realized I'm like 5-6 chapters behind in Bleach (I guess I've been a little too into Netflix lately, lol). Maybe I should try and get caught up next time I have the time.

Also been awhile since there's been a new chapter of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi...

Just finished Bleach episode 286, pretty dang good. I do have one complaint about the series though, it feels like Ichigo's power is reduced and increased without good reason, he has an incredibly difficult time beating an enemy, when he beat a more powerful one earlier and is still in the same state he beat that enemy in. It feels like that mess with his power level for the story, but have no good reason for why is power keeps swaying back and forth. Most of the other characters seem to be well defined in their power level though, expect maybe when compared to a fight they had with Ichigo.

So episode 12 of TWGOK has had as many game references as possible and it is glorious.

That's the episode I saw, I think. Yes, it was glorious. XD

You should watch the whole thing. It is brilliant. I'm not being ironic or silly, it is genuinely a brilliantly made, near flawless series if that first season is any indication. Or I guess read the manga since apparently season 3 decides to skip things for reasons.

Holy crap I didn't expect the fanservice in Kill la Kill to be so ridiculous. I don't know if I even want to follow it. It's so crazy though, I must keep watching..

I think Kill la Kill justifies its fanservice, in its own insane way. In that it is part of the story in an interesting way. Kinda. I think.

What episode you on? I stopped at 520, and after watching Strong World, I could use an excuse to go back to the series.
