Topic: Anime & Manga (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

From what I understand the manga has been on hiatus and in an arc that barely begun after this one ended, so I'm assuming it's just gonna stop (though personally I'd prefer the mangaka to just be the writer for the anime instead of dragging the series out like it's...well...Beserk)

Actually, I think they have a full Half a year to go before they run out, and rumor has it the manga might start up again in March.

EDIT: Okay, so I made that calculation half a year ago, but still, there's some hope IMO...

And now I saw the second episode of Space Dandy. Yup, gonna really enjoy this series! I appreciate that it at least warns me the next episode is blatant fanservice.

I've only seen the first season, and that had an (admittedly adorable) conclusion. I'm not sure about the second though. The arcs seem more self contained than most light novels though, so even if it just stops it won't be that annoying.

I saw an advertisement for some overgrown commercial called Buddyfight... Is that what we're really resorting to with children's card game animes?

Yeah, I know! Children's card game anime have totally sold out now!

Oh my goodness, I just learned about the Endless Eight.

Now I'm really motivated to watch Haruhi if only to get a small taste of the absolute hatred fans held.

It was one of the greatest trolls I will ever witness and it made the internet the best place. Unfortunately, I feel most of its value only existed when it was airing.

Well I long ago dropped Bleach, never started Fairy Tail. (IDK Why you thought that, haha)
One Piece and HxH are the only long running series I watch.

Oh boy! Not the biggest fan of anime per se. But last year I've watched quite a few. My favourites being Namuichigawa no Muromi-san and Kotoura-san. Just love drama, comedy and or romance anime. It just brings in the emotions a lot better, though action is alright. Attack on Titan is great and all, but that's all I heard from fans last year! Almost forgot! I'm on the waiting list for renewed seasons of some of my favourite series, Is there a news site I can go to?

I think the director who allowed that to happen resigned for it, although I'd like to believe that was just for show. KyoAni are veritable masters at the art of trolling, and I hope they stay that way

So episode 12 of TWGOK has had as many game references as possible and it is glorious.

Has anybody been getting into Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou? I'm waiting on chapter 22 to be translated it's really great. Although their is quite bit of fan service if you know what I mean.

Thinking about starting Toriko, Hunter X Hunter, Slam Dunk, Kuroko's Basketball & Magi soon (not all at the same time though).

What are your thoughts on them?

They're all great. Magi supposedly turns sour after episode 17, but the first 17 episodes are fantastic.

Hunter X Hunter is my favorite for the bunch. It just has so much variety and such great characters. It's also fairly dark without going too overboard most of the time (though the show comes to love decapitations after a while). That said, the first arc is lacking in fighting action, but it's still a very interesting arc, IMO.

Toriko is fun stuff, though don't expect to be able to take it very seriously. The show has a lot of heart, but a lot of it is so absurd without even being played up as such, if you know what I mean.

Kuroko's Basketball is good, especially if you don't like Basketball. In fact...it might be worse if you do like Basketball, since they kinda break rules and go really over-the-top with it. IMO, watch the show for thew characters, they're the best part of the show. Let me put it this way: It's like Prince of Tennis if PoT had characters that were actually worth caring about.

I prefer Slam Dunk, though. It's more of a comedy-drama with Basketball as a motif, though when they do focus on the sport, it's actually vaguely realistic while still being intense. It's like watching a great sports movie. And again, you don't need to like the sport to enjoy it (just like a great sports movie).

If I had to recommend on to start with, I'd say go with Magi just because it'll be over the soonest, especially if you drop it after episode 17 and go on to the manga. (Though do watch at least the first 17 episodes, IMO, the top-notch animation and music really bring out the emotions much better than manga ever could)
