Topic: Anime & Manga (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

@Maxz, no, I was just explaining that due to the kinds of shows I've been watching on Sundays this year (of which MHA was one of, earlier), it influenced what shows I'll be watching on Sundays this season. Sorry for the confusion.

However, I do believe it is getting a special in November.

Sort of. I'm looking forward to the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (sort of. Sunrise is absolutely terrible at split seasons, so at this point, I'm just looking forward to seeing giant robots bash eachother. I still want the rest to stay as good as it has been, but I know better than to consider it a realistic possibility).

Other than, there's just the occasional show to check out if I get bored. Nothing really stands out as amazing yet. Obviously that could mean there's surprises waiting just around the corner, though.

Yeah, I'd check out the second season of IBO, but Toonami isn't through the first yet, so I don't want to jump into it yet.

Hello everyone, I'm back in need of some help. Im TyrannosaurusSergio on the Lost Media Wiki forums. Over here at the LMW we need your help with finding one of the many lost pieces of media out there, the 1973 series of Doraemon.

Weren't all of the episodes burned in a cremation fire?
That story is a myth. We got in contact with the production chief of the show, Musami Jun, who has some of the reels of the episodes, plus one studio named IMAGICA has some more episodes too. However, he can't release them due to Japanese copyright law. He did upload them at one point in 2003, but was forced to take them down. The only thing we have are some clips, low quality audio of the final episode, screenshots, and the OP plus the ED.

So, we would look to ask you guys of any of you can try to help us find some more information about the show. And yes, before you say anything, we are aware of the Japanese Wikipedia page having MUCH more information about the show. However, Google Translate isn't reliable, so unless we can find someone who can translate the article into English, that's out of the question. Another great help would be to look for videos on Nico Nico Douga, as some footage supposedly gets released on there.If you have any information or any leads please let us know.

Hey everybody! I've been away awhile, as I just started college a few weeks back. Thanks to that business I haven't been watching too much anime lately. That said, I'm still working my way through Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 when I can, I'm about halfway through & loving it. I dunno if I'll go strait on to Zeta right after, or if I'll pace myself and watch something else then. In any case, just thought I'd say hi!

@Rocko52 I recommend watching some of the OVA series afterwards. For one thing: They're shorter, while still having very well-written stories with way better animation than the first Gundam series (though Zeta is a pretty big step up as well), and it'll be easier to pace yourself without losing track of the plot. 08th MS Team, 0080, and 0083 all sidestories that take place between the original series and Zeta, and I think it's easier to get the full impact when the original series is still fresh in your mind. Of course, if you want to get to Zeta sooner, 0083's final scenes arguably have more impact if you know the plot of Zeta, so you could still save that one for later at least (and it'd give you a perfect excuse to put off ZZ Gundam!).

On another note:

I realized I hadn't watched the last two episodes of MSG: Iron-Blooded Orphans S1, so I finially finished that off. They definitely weren't as strong an ending as it could've been:

TL;DR - The B-Plot makes no sense because they neglected to explain a few important things. Granted, I think somebody on the writing staff really wanted to write in the 2016 US Presidential race into the story for some reason, and this was the best compromise they could come to. The story overall was still good, albeit brutal, and the same goes for the fight scenes. I wish I could spoil the bit about the speech, but it really works best in context. Plus, I can't think of a stronger word than "bittersweet", except maybe "tragic", but that word would only apply if the characters weren't fully aware of the ramifications of their actions.

Well, Season 2 starts next week, and I'm really looking forward to that. Though, I'm gonna try to finish The Unlimited before I do.

Hold the phone: I forgot to talk about Kill la Kill! I finished it. It was awesome. I love how all the weird story threads tied neatly together into a coherent narrative by the end. Plus it was funny as hell. Still had way too much going on, and waaaay too much fanservice, but at least a lot of it also tied into the story. Ragyo was creepy as ****, though. Seriously, as a guy, I never thought seeing a woman grope another woman could come off as revolting, but they succeed. With flying colors. Punny! =D

Well, the final week of the Summer season is upon us, and tonight I watched the last episode of season 2 of Kyokai no Rinne!

It had a nice feel good ending, and season 3 was confirmed too!

.....So, unless Amazon is lying to me (for some reason, lol), I should get Azumanga today...So I can start watching it for real....owo

@CanisWolfred I can't imagine too many other options, but I pronounce it CAN-ISS(rhymes with kiss)-WOLF-RED. Is that what you were intending? And while we're playing this game, how do people pronounce mine?

With regards to the Dream Episode, it was pretty froogilly, but that didn't come as much of a surprise. The series seemed to have that sort of surrealness (surreality?) bubbling under the surface for a while, so it only seemed right for it to completely spill over and take over an entire episode. The intro/outro are endearingly crooked, which seemed like a signifier that things would get charmingly unstable. I love the outro song. Haven't quite got used to the intro though.

I'm very glad I started watching it though. It's kind of refreshing to watch something that doesn't have - nor need - modern, lavish production. And, y'know, it's quite good too.

@Maxz I spell yours as "Manx", like the type of cat. Because that's how I thought your name was spelled this entire time.

Good thing I have an easily-digestible name.

As for myself, I have a horrible time remembering faces. Like, my ability to distinguish differences in the faces of other people is incredibly poor, so I often end up mixing them up. I was watching an old beach movie the other day, for example, and mistook Buddy Hackett for Joe Pesci.

And yeah, I love Azumanga's occasional dips into surreal absurdity. Especially with regard to Chiyo's terrifying cat monster of a father.

Are these the same people that made School Rumble?...I'm seeing a lot of similarities. lol
