I've gone on record as praising Gundam SEED's characters designs as the best ones ever in Gundam. But best ones eve is a tough one. There are so many great designs from so many different shows, like .hack//sign, Outlaw Star, and Rurouni Kenshin. It'd take me forever to wittle it down to the very best.
My favorite character design and favorite character goes to Saber from Fate/Stay Night. I think the color blends are extremely cool + the shiny armor along with a cool, calm personality
@Kingbuilder I might try it at some point then but theres a lot of other anime I plan on watching so it could take a while before I do start watching it as I like to get through quite a few episodes of the most recent one I started watching and I don't like to watch more than 7 anime at once so that I don't fall further than I already am with anime.
It's on Youtube for free, though. Come on. You can't resist it, lol.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna go buy the first season of Code Geass at my local Hastings when I get the money. That's a really big thing for me to do considering how little of an anime fanatic I am, lol. 100$+ is definitely gonna be worth having one of my favorite series to watch whenever I want, considering I'm on my third watch-through of the series right now.

I'm about half way through series 2 of Bleach and it's massively improved. However, one thing has annoyed me and it's showed up in some of the other anime I've watched recently - theme music changing to a different song. This does my head in.
Sorry, let me elaborate! Like in Fate/Stay Night there's a new theme song and titles half way through. It just annoys me when I'm used to the first one. It kinda gives each show an identity which is then different with the new theme. Same with Death Note and now Bleach.

wait, are you talking about the intro songs? Because im pretty sure just about every anime ive watched does that. If you mean music during the episodes I havent really noticed that.
New credits generally indicates a new season and/or that the story has shifted sufficiently enough that the old credits are no longer relevant, they've done that forever. It's usually every 12-16 episodes. Not just an anime thing either :3 Personally, I like the change of theme after a set of episodes.
Speaking of Themes, what do you guys prefer? Opening or ending themes? I generally prefer opening themes, because they tend to be more upbeat, which I like. Also, what are your favorite opening and ending themes?

Not all of these are upbeat, but most are and I really enjoyed them. As you can see, there is only one end theme. Again, I'm not fond of end themes in general, and Gundam in Particular has very few standouts, IMO.
Oh, and just in case I confused anybody, my question was not in anyways relegated to the Gundam franchise. I just really really like Gundam, so I listed all Gundam themes.
My favorite is the 22nd Opening to Detective Conan.
...I will not post it as I refuse to spoil pretty much anything in that series for anyone. Look it up if you are curious or are certain you will never watch the series (I feel somewhat sorry for you in that case but whatever).
Most of the best openings are like that for Conan sadly. Too lazy to embed btw.
I'm a huge fan of the opening to Serial Experiments Lain. compared to the rest of the show, it's very calming and it also sets up the general feel of the show very well. I also like The Biggest Dreamer, the Japanese opening theme to Digimon Tamers (mostly because I'm a a Digimon Tamers fanboy). I find it to be a generally good song, but then again I have a terrible taste in music, so I may be completely wrong. Also, there was one person who wrote a Piano version of the song that sounds absolutely gorgeous. I can't find the original video of the person playing the song, but here is a rendition of the Piano version that sounds exactly the same as the original. I can't think of other themes and/or openings that I like, but I'll post again if I do.

Here's a good one. Apparently stuff from TV Tokyo are blocked, which makes it harder to find stuff. It is a very good song, though. I hope I enjoy the rest of them, too.
Random question, but has anyone seen Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao (Demon King Daimao)? I find it hugely amusing.
