I've been watching too much anime lately (well, at least compared to previous viewing habits).
So far, my favorite anime of the season are OreTwi and Amagi Brilliant Park. Hitsugi no Chaika and Log Horizon S2 are also doing well as I expected. I really like how the action scenes in all four of these series are carried out, and I was kind of surprised when I found out that KyoAni was animating Amagi given the nature of the series.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san and Inobatot are pretty good too. Although, my friends seem to enjoy watching Inobato a lot more than I do. Hopefully Hotoko's episode will be as good as Tomoyo's.
Grisaia No Kajitsu would have been better if 8-bit didn't butcher a lot of the content from the visual novel, or shove unnecessary fan service. Everyone can gain a little lesson from this, never trust studio 8-bit.
Btw, I've dropped Sora no Method, G-Reco, Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai, Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete, and Sword Art Online II from this season for reasons I will not elaborate, but I'll just say that their recent episodes were disappointing.
Holy crap. Companies have been announcing a s**t ton of Cardcaptor Sakura merch lately. It's been figure after figure after figure. I swear there is an upcoming anime in the works. Either that or they REALLY stratagezied waiting for the fanbase to grow up to be able to afford expensive merch and profit from nostalgia...
Since ZKC took a break last week, I decided to check out Denpa Kyoushi, since a lot of people keep comparing it to Great Teacher Onizuka (which I still need to read, and it has been on my list to read and watch for quite some time now, why haven't I done this yet?). So the main character in Denpa Kyoushi is a young man named Junichirou Kagami, who happens to be a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), as well as an hardcore otaku lover. He landed a job as a physics teacher thanks to his younger sister, Kagami Suzune (Yes, she is a bro-con, go figure). And for him being a physics genius back in high school, he even had a thesis he wrote be published in Nature, a renown science magazine company.
So this is where our young main protagonist starts on his epic journey to becoming one of the most amazing teachers the world has ever known. The only problem I can see with this is that most of the students he motives and encourages are usually female students, which leads to some of his female students falling for him (so this leads more to a harem, which I can see a lot of people will frown upon, so I'm not sure of GTO has that as well), but is still pretty good. With the way he interacts with his students and everyone around him, to his otaku habits, and to the way he deals with his students problems. Do you have a forced arrange marriage with a multi-billon dollar game company CEO, who also happens to be a pro-gamer, in order to save your own game company, as well your employees from being fired? Don't worry, Junichirou Kagami knows what to do. Let's have a video game match with a Call of Duty parody game.
So overall I find this series to be enjoyable and sublime. And would recommend to anyone who's looking for great written comedy, in-depth characterization, and well-done pacing.
You should see the dubs they did for Is this a Zombie? Aside from the monotone voice acting, the character voices would occasionally be out of sync with the animation by 2-3 seconds. It was awful.
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Raditz announces his big revelation (well, "big" if you've been under a rock the last 15 years) & steals Gohan. Goku & Piccolo have now made their pact, and are going to kick some Raditz butt next week.
Naruto Shippuden - Looks like the previous events have taken their toll on Naruto & Sakura, preventing their team from properly persuing Orichimaru. Kabuto has a plan to motivate Naruto though, and has told him something he probably didn't want to hear...
One Piece - Series flashback time! This was actually much appreciated, since I haven't seen the beginning of the series. Nice to see Luffy's origins.
Gurren Lagann - Simon confirms his place as current leader of team Dai-Gurren, with a combat performance & resolve Kamina would be proud of. Lots of insane action, but I doubt that's a surprise at this point
InuYasha: the Final Act - After 8 years, a new episode of InuYasha finally airs on American television! It's nice to see it back, but the serious condensing done here is very noticeable, as it kind of jumped all over the place (that, and they probably wanted to make sure every prominent character had screentime, since this is a "return" of sorts). Hopefully things get a bit more coherent within the next couple weeks. I was at first worried about the new voice actor for Kagome, and while her voice is noticeably different, it's close enough that I don't think it's going to bother me. As for the content of the episode itself? One episode in and we have our first notable casualty.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Just read the final naruto chapter. the ending kinda reminds me of Digimon adventure 2 ending. I though the ends focus was gonna be Naruto becoming hokage(im guessing thats what the upcoming movie is for) instead we got a peek at the next generation. Some of the pairing made sense but im still not happy about it.Stuff like that should be left alone for the fans to decide on their own imo

Yeah I got the ending spoiled for me hard haha, I guess a lot of people on my feeds can't resist sharing whether their favourites got confirmed or denied. I haven't really been up to date, but I'd probably prefer closure more than anything.
I actually found it weird how many spoilers were about the romantic pairs, when iirc there was barely any romantic subtext in the series. Did something massively change in Shippuden or something?
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
@Magikarp3 Not really Hinata did confess to Naruto during the fight with Pain and Sasuke did forgive Sakura like a few chapters before the final one, other than that all the other pairs are just random
