Bleach - The final fight is definitely underway now, and it reminded me of something else that really bothered me about this arc. In terms of power, these fights look like they're well below the power of Bankai (and equivalent transformations), so it seems like a huge step back. I could maybe understand this for Ichigo (since Fullbring was never going to be his calling), but even the villains (after absorbing Ichigo's powers even) go down like a bunch of weaklings, which makes them an exceedingly poor follow up to what came before.
Space Dandy - Alright, courtroom drama time! This was a great episode, and holy cow, did SD just get serious at the end!? Can't wait to see how this show ends up, baby
Naruto Shippuden - Aaaand Sai has found a way to be even more creepy than he was (and a little sad). Looks like next week is when things might start to heat up.
One Piece - Man that fight between Luffy & Blueno is good (though that "Door Door" ability he used on Luffy's head was just plain stupid. Like, almost Foxy levels of infuriatingly stupid), but why do they have to limit it to the last few minutes of the episode!? Also, it looks like a few of the other CP-9 members are getting power ups...
Gurren Lagann - This, was a surprisingly heavy episode. If course, Kamina kept it from being totally sad, but it wasn't expected from this show (good though).
Beware the Batman- Didn't watch.
Hellsing Ultimate - Oh yeah, a vampire with gangsta style crashes the party with a legion of militarized zombies (oh I'm sorry, "ghouls"). Oh, and Nazi's are behind everything, naturally (and given this show's numerous WTH moments so far, I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow resurrected you know who as a vampire... O_O).
There was a new show montage as well, and there were two Star Wars references tonight (barring the actual SW show).

Been reading a lot of Seinen lately: Black Joke, Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou, and Ubel Blatt, just to name a few.
Also, the new chapters of ZKC have been hilarious so far.

your opinion is bad and you should feel bad
Well, to be fair, I'm not completely against the idea of more wacky or silly scenarios, and I certainly enjoy light hearted fare, but it has to be in the right context.
If the same thing happened in something more quirky like FLCL or Space Dandy, I wouldn't bat an eye, and I'll admit that I've probably been too hard on the whole Foxy ordeal (since it was supposed to be the last bit of goofiness before heading into a more serious arc, I shouldn't fault it for doing what it was meant to do), but it's in the context of the Enies Lobby arc (a more serious arc), it just felt oddly out of place, IMO.
I always understand the need for comedic relief during tense moments, but there's a limit to how goofy said moments should be, when you're trying to maintain a more serious note.
For what it's worth, One Piece is one of my favorite shows on the block, right next to Space Dandy & Gurren Lagann (two more silly shows, ironically, lol)

Trust me, it works. The Slow-Slow Beam was silly for the sake of being silly, but Door-Door actually was kinda cool once you saw it in action. Plus it has some story importance that the anime never covers...
Crap.
I'm gonna have to marathon season two starting from episode 5 where I left off for this Saturday.
I can't believe Space Dandy's ending already.
Crap. My friend reminding me of Xiaolin Showdown's existence isn't helping!

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with Door Door itself (most of it's uses have been pretty cool actually, especially it's epic reveal when he used it against Sanji during the failed train rescue).
I'm talking specifically about the moment where he used it on Luffy's head to disorient him (making the middle segment swing around like a revolving door).

The Slow-Slow beam was awesome and annoying(in a good way) at the same time. It so fitted Foxy's character, I really enjoyed that arc for what it was.
About the Luffy's head being a door thingie. It's just what it is. Anything he touches becomes a door right, so that makes sense haha. It's just one those moments where you get reminded of the fact that One Piece is a bizar show, it also doesn't take itself too seriously. Which is one of the reasons I really like it. I think the balance is really well done.
If I can make a recommendation, this series is way better when you're not caught up with it so I wouldn't even try to rush through it (also because that's still 400+ episodes to rush through). Trust me.
I haven't read that specific manga, but the cover reminds me of a personal gripe: when the main character is male, but it's always his female entourage that gets featured on the front cover.
I'm not as fussed about that gripe, but man you must be annoyed since that happens for nearly every series. It gets more annoying when the male character is some blank generic nice-guy and the girl has all the personality. I mean yeah I get that they want you to picture yourself as the male lead, but still. I feel that dynamic makes things a lot less interesting and doesn't properly explore relationships between characters.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

That is the worst thing.
But I would like to point out that the main character of From the New World is a girl.

Thanks for the advice. I kinda did rush a bit in the beginning, because 1. I had too much free time and 2. I was enjoying it too much . I'm now where I stopped reading the manga. So now I can relax a bit hehe But man, that Library murder case still freaked me out haha. It's kinda addicting to just continue watching new cases... Because they keep on getting better and more clever.

1. Yes it is addicting sometimes.
2. That's arguably for the best that you read the early parts of the manga. The anime did some dumb things in adapting the first few volumes that made it...a bit worse than the manga. Either because it cut out relevant scenes and info or it rushed cases too frequently or just because the pacing and order of cases was better (throwing the "Ran thinks Conan is Shinichi for an episode" card out already for episode 5 is stupid). But past that early weirdness, I do prefer the anime, mainly because the music and voice acting is fantastic.
Also, I think one of the next episodes is one of the two plot holes that the anime stupidly made and you'll be immediately be confused by significant information Conan knows for seemingly no reason.

To be fair, From the New World was a novel first, then a manga. The manga is uh... well, different. Different, as in it's pretty much softcore porn fanfic that somehow got officially licensed.

...I will say that makes more sense than if it happened for most series, but still, that sounds amazingly awful.
I was ok with it during the first episode but episode 2 of Hellsing Ultimate makes me think it's trying too hard to be dark.
I haven't seen Ultimate, but I made it a couple episodes into the first series before coming to the same conclusion. It was so overdone that it almost seemed like it was a parody of grimdark anime. I've heard that Ultimate is much better though, so maybe I'll get around to checking it out some day.
(though in my experience "much better" usually just means "closer to the manga," so I dunno)
