@Dezzy
I was SPEECHLESS 😮😮😮 for 1 minute when i saw trailer of FF VIII remastered.
I was really excite when i saw Nintendo Switch logo. 😀
But... Several seconds later i kept my excitement because i have a feeling it will be digital download only again like FF 7 / 9 Remaster on Switch.
Great port 👍👍👍 but i will keep my eyes on next updated information about FF VIII remastered.
I dunno which conference Cris Tales was at, but I'm definitely intrigued. I like turn-based RPGs with time-travel mechanics, the story premise intrigues me, and the art style is very stylish.
Man reading through the last few pages of this thread is just downright depressing! You guys all sound so upset! I haven't been able to watch the E3 streams because I don't like going to work on no sleep, lol, but from what you guys are saying, it sounds thoroughly underwhelming - minus Square Enix. FF8 Remaster sounds good. Still need to finish FFIX and FFX and play FF7,10-2 and 12, but hey, more Final Fantasy in my Switch backlog is perfectly fine by me!
Even I am pretty annoyed at Bethesda for their unwillingness to port Fallout 3 and New Vegas to the Switch, or to give us a new, full meat Fallout game on the platform.
While I like all these ports, I would really like some new 3rd party titles built for Switch too. The Switch is perfectly powerful enough to build awesome in-depth games for when you actually make the game for the system!

Yeah, the story of this E3 for the most part has been that all the interesting games (barring certain indies) were either already revealed last year or didn't show actual gameplay.
Btw, if 3rd party developers / publishers already mentioned their games for Nintendo Switch during E3 presentations, it won't be included again inside Nintendo Direct, right ?
Nintendo Direct will have completely different games than other presentations, right ?
Wow, the negativity train continues! Has this E3 really been that bad?
@Anti-Matter There is no rule about it that I know of. But I'd bet that Nintendo wouldn't spend much time repeating info that has already been announced.

@Anti-Matter Not necessarily. I'd imagine some of the bigger titles revealed (Dragon Quest 11, Builders 2, etc) will still be shown but in a "sizzle reel" of games, meaning that they won't get discussed, butthey'll probably be there. Also because I know you despise 18+ games, be prepared to cover your Switch as I'd expect DOOM Eternal and/or Wolfenstein Youngblood to show up in the aforementioned sizzle reel.
@Heavyarms55 Conferences have been quite bad in terms of pacing (haven't watched SE yet). Few noteworthy game announcements. Watching Ubisoft yesterday; 40 minutes in and they had only shown two games.
Avengers was disappointing too. I don't mind a CGI story trailer every now and then, because an original idea/concept/story can be just as important. But I know what the Avengers look like, I want to know how it plays; like Spider-Man? Open world? Linear levels? Can you pick any character you like? That trailer revealed nothing I didn't know before.
Disappointed that I couldn't have watched SE's conference last night instead of Ubi's, sounds like it was great.
FF7 has been the best game of the show so far for me. I don't even care that it's Midgar only (I had anticipated this tbf ) - if anything, it just means they can flag everything out all the more. Do wonder if they'll keep it up through all the instalments though, especially given the pace they work at.
And FF8 on Switch? Sold... If only I had the time!
@Octane Honestly, from what I saw the Avengers game seemed very underwhelming. Hard to judge off a cutscene trailer but the whole artstyle and what they were trying to show to "wow" the audience seemed very by-the-numbers and uninspired.
I may be wrong, but so far the game doesn't interest me a bit. Seems anti-climactic coming off the 2 year hype-filled wait for the game reveal.
Noticing a lot of games are scheduled for the first half of 2020. I can't even think of what's due 2019 off the top of my head. Anyone find this a bit strange? What happened to big holiday releases?
Square Enix was just as boring as the rest, if you don't care about FF7 and after that showcase I certainly don't. Never liked the original, and the gameplay for the remake doesn't seem particularly interesting to me.
Dragon Quest is gonna be a day 1 thing for me tho. Waited for that since it got first announced in like, 2015?
Agreed. It was the only game that got me a little excited. Now it looks very likely Nintendo will steal the show.
@Octane Fair points I suppose. I haven't watched it myself. The only one I really care to see myself is Nintendo. Everything else I just listen to chatter and watch if it sounds cool - which so far, they all don't!
