i really hope that the next 4 smash dlc fighters have main series games on nintendo platforms. one singular spinoff on the 3ds isn’t really enough to qualify imo (and i suppose another future spinoff too in terms of joker). for example, kingdom hearts, professor layton, etc all have numerous games on nintendo consoles. its like if they added master chief and then just released halo picross on the 3ds, purchasable with platinum points and said “halo is on nintendo so here you go!”
@Arbor Sora would be just as bad as Joker in terms of Nintendo system representation, you'd need something like The Story So Far or the individual 1.5, 2.5 and 2.8 releases on Switch announced for it to not be similar to Joker.
@Grumblevolcano, eh, Kingdom Hearts has had 4 games on Nintendo hardware, all of which are canonical to the central story, and (with the exception of Chain of Memories) retain the same style gameplay as the numbered entries.
That's a bit different than the two noncanonical(?) Persona spinoffs with radically different gameplay than the main entry, that Nintendo has.
Not that I particularly care who gets into Smash, or for what reason.

I'd prefer DQ's Erdrick over Sora to be honest. At least Switch is getting DQXI, and while getting KHIII may not be possible if its too much for Switch, I don't see why Squeenix wouldn't port the collection.
Oh, and EA was dissapointing as always for me. I'm looking forward to MS's press conference tomorrow.
EA was bound to be disappointing, considering there was nothing truly new there. The expansions are good for those that are fans of those series, but they won't ever draw new people in.
What was shown was good for Jedi: Fallen Order, and the new content for Battlefield V has my interest. Not enough to pull me into it, but I'm wanting to see it all in action.
Nintendo Championships have been ace throughout. So many intense matches of Splatoon, and Smash is already off to a good start.
EA is always bad for nintendo fans make games that look like PS2 games still can not run on a system that is xbox one base model i think they are paying us back for not buying lootbox game made for moblie
Hmm. I didn’t expect EA to be that bad. I know they are the butt of jokes but their games sell for a reason so I try to go into presentations as neutral as I can. Even barring my lack of interest in most of their cash cows... this was bad. Nothing new really and some of the expansion efforts looked bland. I know I will get the Sims 4 expansion but it’s more to keep the game current rather than it being exciting.
Perhaps they will have other titles shown at the other presentations.
