I don't see any reason to worry about Cyberpunk. It will come to PC, Xbox and PS4. They won't skip PC, that's the only guaranteed platform, and it will be on GOG for sure. They've had a long relationship with Microsoft and The Witcher, so that's a given too. And seeing how TW3 was a huge success on PS4, I doubt they're going to skip that platform. They don't seem to be the company that would take money and make it exclusive either. They don't have to, because if it's anything like TW3, it will be incredibly popular on its own.
@NEStalgia Nah man, gotta watch it live, and it will get my full attention. Watching after the fact is like opening your presents after the birthday, when everybody has already gone home, the cake is eaten, the drinks are empty and the decorations have been taken down.
As for EA's presentation demanding a credit card: that would be something, huh? Pay to win in E3 presentations: get a better show if you pay more...
It certainly could have been better. Browsed through the whole 3,5 hours worth of it. Someone on this site is going to be completely over the moon with the new Sims expansion, and other than that, Battlefield and the new options looked interesting, and surprise of surprises: no loot boxes or premium pass. Same with Anthem, which admittedly looked great, and as such is still on my radar.
But, for the time being at least, it seems like EA got the message about them spoiling their games with in-game monetization.
And as always, all the Star Wars stuff also looks good. And Unravel 2 is a little gem, just like the first game. And that other indie game, Sea of Solitude, also looked nice.
So, they still do have some interesting franchises, but other than that, there was WAY too much blabla and chest pumping, kinda as expected. And I absolutely can't stand Andrew Wilson. If there's one head that I would like to put under a steamroller, then it would be his arrogant mug...
Oh, well. On to Microsoft's presentation, which apparently is going to be the one to watch, according to Spawn Wave, regardless of the Crackdown 3 debacle:
From the description underneath the video:
Microsoft's presentation for the Xbox at E3 2018 starts this afternoon and we are expecting some big things. This is probably the most pressure for Microsoft at E3 after having to delay Crackdown 3 to next year with only Forza Horizon 4 left to finish up 2018. Let's take a look at what we can expect and what we can hope to see from Xbox.
@Dezzy Aha, she's from California, huh? Already wondered why I liked her. Must be the shared origin... (EA pun intended)
@NEStalgia Hey! No CA bashing allowed... Or did you forget that this is where this sunny Titan also comes from?
As for the woman's fake enthusiasm: it's called hosting a (commercial) show and getting paid to be positive about it (although she really IS a fan, so shouldn't be too hard to put on a little enthusiasm). It really wasn't any more annoying than the yearly over the top enthusiasm bro-down acting job that Aisha Tyler performs live on stage at the Ubisoft presentation. You just gotta see past that and perceive it as part of the package/show. In my business, we'd see that as a sales/marketing mentality. It is nothing out of the ordinary.
It can be boring, cheesy (like that guy in the beginning was, with his Sims joke), over the top, or whatever, but it is what you can expect on events like these. And we Americans are of course the loudest in doing it.
Although I do think that a lot of the foreign developer's enthusiasm probably literally gets lost in translation, because of their frequent inability to express their genuine (or marketed) enthusiasm in a language other than their own, missing intonations and what not. I had a cringe moment during the Battlefield V speeches, because of the rather heavy accent, but other than that, I just shrugged all of it away and focused on the game content, which is what I was watching the show for in the first place...
At least they admit its mind boggling its not there.
Maybe itll happen down the line. Then again, when EA is funding you I suppose asking is out of the question. Let them finish this first and then either use the profits to make something new, or fund a port.

Really not expecting much as far as exclusives go for Xbox. I think they're starting to gear up for the next generation Xbox so they can come out strongly and will weather the storm with Xbox One in the mean time.
Do think we'll see some third party exclusives. Got a hunch that they paid for exclusivity on that Tales of Vesperia remaster.
''and our small studio doesn’t have the resources at the moment'' That's fair, but then what's the reason for EA backing them and publishing their game if they don't provide additional resources?
I was talking about the developer being able to take the profits from Unravel Two, and either fund a new game with it, or make a port for Switch. Personally, I'd prefer to see them move on to something new.

While it's true you were born a prisoner to the People's Democratic Republic of California, you managed to successfully mount a daring escape, so they didn't manage to brainwash ALL sensibility out of you. To many never see freedom from the clutches of PDRC.
Though back in your day. It wasn't quite as difficult. The whole Land of Fruits and Nuts thing (lol autocorrect auto capitalizes that!) Guess back to at least the 40s.... I've heard lots of old timers (yes moreso than youngsters like yourself ) tell if how Cali was actually a nice, sane place before the new Yorkers invaded. I believe them. Rjejr is really in the wrong place.
I actually liked Aishas shows. It was campy, but she was very professional. Last year was boring without her. It was over the top corporate enthusiasm, yes, but in a professionally skilled manner. Very enjoyable. Similarly Sam anchors treehouse, despite not being a professional presenter, expertly. This was not that. . Shaun Layden at Sony used to be insufferable but he's mellowed. Still corporate figurehead, so it's not the same as a guest presenter or studio dev presenter. Square had the dev in the Majoraesque helmet.... Winner!
Though is perhaps best summarized by "YouTube personally", it's a horrible brand of amateur self absorbed presentation that exists only in YouTube and seems remarkably cringe worthy. I notice almost every yt "personality" i find ranging between annoying to obnoxious. A reaction i have to almost no other presenter (corporate figureheads like Wilson aside. They have their own special gag reflex all their own.). Maybe the kids are into that but the numbers are starting to tank, so maybe not.
@haru17 oh, if your objection is to the word "harpy" maybe it's too harsh as she's not a corporate figure, just the hired help, but rest assured it's benign compared to the terms id use for the myriad of horrid male presenters over the years. However since harpy is a reference to a mythical beast, it's mod friendly. The terms for the male presenters are not.
Regardless, the whole yt personality thing reeks across the board. Tryhard would be hipsters trying to be trendy, following the metrics for what fake daily personality will "move the needle" this month. It's not a gender thing. It's a narcissist thing.
