@ThanosReXXX I'm still waiting 6 up on the ubi show... It had some really bad moments. I'm going to spend the next year trying to erase that just dance segment from my mind. It would be an offensive stereotype of the French were it not the French doing it...
Bge2 I'm still keeping cautiously optimistic. No release date that i saw so it's still some ways off, and sourcing art for free from the public smacks of "hey free labor, but they'll be thrilled to participate, perfect plan!". It all depends on how the mmo aspects play out and if the game actually looks like that on any platform. This is ubisoft. If the e3 show looks like Mario Odyssey, expect the retail game looks like Mario 64 . I'm not convinced it will be out on current hardware. It's pre alpha... But they're still sourcing art.
Sunned at all the Nintendo love. The bike game i didn't see coming as all platforms with switch. Starlink looks way better than last we saw it. Still catching up on the rest!
@NEStalgia Some really bad moments? Well, I don't know what show you watched, or what you were expecting, but other than the Just Dance intro, I saw solid game after solid game, some big names and parties on stage, and some interesting looks at the future, so I can't agree with you on that one at ALL, I'm afraid.
Currently watching today's episode of Inside Xbox, which also featured some stuff not yet shown in the presentation. And some in-depth interviews and footage of the stuff that they DID show. Good stuff...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
I think tomorrow will be the best day of E3, at least for me anyway
Microsoft's presentation didn't have much that excited me, Bethesda tried and did quite well but I was hoping to see more of the new Elder Scrolls game. I think Square Enix would have had a great presentation if we hadn't seen most of it during the Microsoft presentation, I don't know why they skipped FF7 and just gave us recycled trailers instead maybe the MS presentation would get them a larger audience?
As for Ubisoft...well it was just the usual for them. An awkward Just Dance section followed by the most boring presentations worded like the audience is completely brain dead. I don't know why they fail miserably every year at that aspect, they don't seem to understand what makes the games interesting at a reveal and instead show us a vague trailer and expect us to preorder it now! I do appreciate their Switch support though, they are by no means my favourite developer but Nintendo seems to trust them with their IPs. More Mario and Rabbids is great and Starlink could be good? The Starfox crossover is cool but I don't won't the whole game to be based on a simple gimmick, it could completely ruin it for me. And how we play it in handheld mode? Who knows...
But anyway, tomorrow will be better and I'm looking forward to Nintendo Direct/Presentation. It's just a shame it's always on a Tuesday around 5pm, I'm always busy and end up watching it on a train
I actually think the best E3 day may have already past. This year's E3 really feels like a direct sequel to E3 2015 at least judging from the conferences so far and you know what that means if it continues into Nintendo's spot.
@Kimyonaakuma
I guess FF 7 Remake will have same problem like FF XV. Like it will be delayed and delayed again.
Ah.... i still consider FF 8 & 9 as my Best PS1 Final Fantasy.
@Anti-Matter Maybe, there seem to be rumours about them restarting the remake because it's been such a disaster. Hopefully it isn't like FFXV though, that game took so long that it changed platforms and names!
@Snaplocket the "r" in surprise annoys me when I look at it, probably because where I'm from you don't really say it, it's more like "suprize"
Tbh, "lower your expectations" sounds well-meaning and probably is, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with getting extremely hyped with something and trying to convince someone not to get incredibly hyped for something isn't worth it.
That said, it's all about the reaction afterwards. As long as you don't blow up negatively about underwhelming stuff, hype as hard as you want and that's perfectly fine.
I'm going in really excited to see what'll come, and if it flops that's fine despite being disappointed. I got bigger fish to fry and lots more other games to play.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
Yeah, I'm not really seeing any damage control on social media either. Can you post some links to the posts in question?
At any rate, I don't really care if it'll be that underwhelming. The games I've wanted to see the most already exist aside from an open world Pokemon game (BotW, Odyssey, Prime 4). Pretty much anything else Nintendo gives us for the rest of this gen is just icing on the cake. About the only thing I don't want to see is more stupid spinoffs like we got at E3 2015, I don't mind spinoffs, but if you're going to make spinoffs for filler at least do something that fits the tone of the series and respects its legacy.
I'm pretty sure I'm one of maybe 10 people who cares about the overall story and characters in Beyond Good and Evil, so I'm stunned that this massive game is being made with a big time E3 cinematic story trailer that exists to make me happy and excited.
@Snaplocket I heard a few people say both of Rs, but it's not common where I live.
I guess some accents add extra letters and sounds for certain words?
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
