@DJphatskillz: The one thing I learned when I saw them in concert a while back is that the diehard Pearl Jam fans are SUPER diehard. I never really paid the commercial much attention when it aired, but I can kinda see why they're pissed off (preforming with a giant corporate logo flashing behind them). Still, I doubt PJ were counting on that kind of reaction.
@swerd_murd: I know. I can't listen to this modern country garbage either. My music is from a time when country music was actually good. Also, liking the Castlevania Rebirth music. Castlevania has always been known for good music, and this no exception.
damn straight, and this game is 100% remixes and great ones at that (stage 4 made my living-in-the-past gland engorge--using the data-select/score entry music, remixed, as a stage theme!!!! I miss X68k...)
My hip-hop is from the same time you speak of. Glad you weren't too hurt on my joking calling-you-a-hick comment the other day--all in love

@swerd_murd: Yeah, I don't take much offense from comments like that, unlike some people in this world. Here's some more VG and country music that I like: [youtube:nThAHg6kDLE] Too bad I can only find the single-edit for this song: [youtube:k5LFYjtMnu4] One of the greatest songs for Genesis: [youtube:FU1l8_ZpQbU] One more for tonight: [youtube:smgVLKoA1sE]

Oh yeah, nice one @The_Fox for busting out videos of Operation Ivy's 'Sound System' (comment 8), Mudhoney 'Touch Me I'm Sick' (comment 25) and chatting about Dropkick Murphys live (I've seen them twice and Street Dogs, once). Awesome music taste, mate. Below is Kid Dynamite's 'Bookworm', I love the pick up of pace, with rapid fire drums, 1 minute and 28 seconds into the song. Punk fans will love this one [youtube:g-KUetOwq80]
I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.
I've become totally obsessed with the Beatles since I discovered them a few months ago. I recently bought Abbey Road and I've been wearing that one out. Just incredible music. Also just rented the Beatles Rock Band--really, really quality game.

That's okay, Kid_A. It's understandable for some people to have gone a long time without having heard of a certain singer or band. I didn't learn about Elvis until I watched Lilo & Stitch in theatres back in 2002 in Italy when I was 11, shortly before I moved.
@Kid_A I live in Merseyside and it takes me 5 minutes by train to get into Liverpool city centre, which is packed full of Beatles memorabilia and nostalgia. If you can't get enough of their tunes, then you would really love a visit to my home city. However, I do not listen to much of the Beatles myself, except for when a punk band like 88 Fingers Louie rockets their way through a cover song, just as in 'Help! (below). [youtube:Qn9ggYoq42U]

Um........ Just a few months ago?
Well obviously I'd heard of them long before that, and I had heard a few of their songs. But I didn't really listen to the Beatles until a few months ago. I guess by "discovered" I meant "discovered how amazing and awesome they were".

Cheers @The_Fox for a cool choice of Street Dogs song. I saw Rage Against The Machine live in Liverpool about 1993, after the release of their first album. I have never heard any of The Nightwatchman or Tom Morello's solo stuff, so that song was a bit of an education for me. It has a traditional, folky sound to it, which was a pleasant surprise. Violent Femmes is another inspired choice, your music taste is pretty diverse. I am so often channelled in on punk and melodic hardcore bands, I like to draw myself back in to my teenage music roots by supplementing my ears with lots of alternative rock, to spice up my CD collection a bit. That is why I have chosen Pixie'sDebaser (below). [youtube:hWYVGiPEEpc]
