Topic: A Bug Just Flew Into My Ear Canal

Comparing to the stories I've read here, thank god the only close encounter with a big was a spider getting near my shoulder while I sat on a couch. Anyways, I think from now on I'm gonna put on headphones when I sleep. May as well plug my nose, too. And put a gas mask on my mouth. Duct tape my eyes. Should be good, no bugs to worry about.

How do you think I feel!? I can still feel the thing going in and out when I think about it. I've got jibblies so bad that I'm watching Pulp Fiction (2.5 hours long) to try to get a stonger tolerance to the terrifying feeling.

Oh, just so you guys know, it was a cicada that flew into my ear. I was kind of surprised it fit in there. So don't think big bugs can't get into your ear canal.

I'm not even going to begin on the many horrors of the Human Bot Fly. I understand some of us do enjoy sleeping.
But seriously, that bug is disgusting. Unparalleled.

I would save you all the trouble and just post what bot flies do right here, but it'd be a bit too graphic for this site.

Luckily, I've only had gnats fly into my ear, and they were easily taken care of by a quick flick.

Can't stand spiders though. I always inspect my room for them before sleeping, and take care of them on the spot (without using spray, if possible).

As well as the Human Botfly, which utilizes a mosquito to deposit their larva onto humans where they burrow into the skin and feed until they're mature enough to burst out. They've even been known to burrow far enough to reach internal organs.
