The holiday season usually doesn’t start until November, but I guess at this point, companies just want to start holiday sales ahead of time.

It's a nightmare if you work in retail. There's a Walmart near me that converted its gardening area to push Christmas products in SEPTEMBER. They hadn't even set up the Halloween stuff yet.

I can't imagine how messed up an associate's sense of time must be.

My Walmart already has Christmas stuff in the garden center, even though it’s still October.

Can we even blame companies at this point, because it could also be people wanting to start way ahead of time

@MrCarlos46 We can blame both. Companies make bank on people getting a holiday headstart and decide to push specific merchandise WAY too early.

I came back because I forgot to mention that last year my closest Family Dollar already had Halloween stuff during July or smth.

I saw a Christmas section in a store I was in this past weekend. It was just a small independent homewares store that I'd never been to before. I did wonder if they maybe sold Christmas stuff all year round.

@dmcc0 Do they sell other seasonal stuff throughout the whole year?

@MrCarlos46 You don't really see much seasonal stuff in the UK other than Easter - which appears right after Christmas and is mostly just chocolate eggs - and maybe a bit of Halloween around Sept/Oct which usually coincides with the Christmas stuff starting to appear too. I didn't see any Easter or Halloween stuff in the store.

I was at Family Dollar earlier today after a doctor’s appointment, and I already ended up finding Halloween stuff, plus a Christmas tree on top of one of the shelves.

Here we are in October, and with the Swicth 2 already out for like 4 months, I actually wonder Nintendo will do for their holiday campaign this year.

Not bad if I’m being honest.

I know I want Donkey Kong Bananza for my birthday, but maybe I’ll consider Super Mario Odyssey for Black Friday or Christmas since it will be on sale during Black Friday.
