@antdickens
Hello.
There was a glitch of user profile which the avatar picture didn't displayed when I clicked on it and the posted comments and or created threads was not visible.
It was also happened on other sister website PushSquare.
It's a small thing, but as a Hookshot supporter when viewing an NLife user profile, there's a big empty "Advert [NL_HP]" box on the right side above Latest News.
This is with adblockers disabled, if active my uBlock lists know to hide that element.
Edit: Maybe not so small, I'm seeing this empty box in multiple spaces including this edit comment page, and the homepage which has "Advert [NL_HP] experiment=nl-home-halfpage"
@antdickens
When I clicked my avatar and other user avatar, the picture was gone and all the option to check the posted comments, the created threads, etc were not visible.
Try to click any user avatar right now and they will be disappeared.
Could you add the option to delete the notifications in my profile from other user whenever they replied me ? Because I want to delete all the notifications directly after I got attacked by troll who impersonate my name and used my avatar just for attacking and insulting me just because I'm still here and they called me a troll.
Thanks for flagging this, it /should/ have already been removing them after we delete the posts, however, there was a bug. That has now been fixed and any previously removed comments will have their notifications removed too.
@Grumblevolcano I imagine that IGN have some "house" ads that run when there aren't any more paid ads to serve you at that moment in time, or it's a paid campaign — either way I'm not aware of any specifics.
So I have to ask what's the point of having a minimal post length for a thread. A few times I have tried to create a thread I post what I want to ask or discuss and I get hit with a message saying can't you think of more to say or something along those lines and so I am forced to type a bunch of gibberish.
I assume it's some sort of anti spam thing but to be quite honest it just makes me not want to post if that's going to happen. It also distracts from the post when a user is forced to post some nonsense to be able to post something and on top of that it makes me not want to post anything if all I am going to get is criticized for a short post. Sometimes posts don't need to be epic novels or pages long. Maybe I don't have the time to post a length post or my question can be asked in a sentence or two.
Point being is don't punish people for posting short posts if spamming is an issue maybe you should look into new users can't post links or something like that or maybe add more mods or have mods active at different times. I know spammers can be a pain but don't punish your regular users by regulating their post lengths.
@Tasuki I don't see it as a "punishment" to users, considering the amount of time it has been in place there has been very little resistance to it. It helps remind users to ensure they have included enough context to their message/post and only requires 1 (or 2) sentences.
@antdickens For some reason it's happened a few times where I'm just on the site and then it'll automatically take me to another site that is seemingly unsafe for my device. I'm not even clicking anything so no clue as to why this is happening
@PikminMarioKirby sometimes bad advertisers get into the ad stack and have some rouge ads that redirect to scam sites, they are often disguised as mcaffee or other security software. Our ad partners have to keep on top of these and ban them as/when they pop up — if you have any info, such as screenshots that is always helpful and I can pass them on, simply email over to bugs [at] nintendolife.com thanks for your help!
