@antdickens I read certain replies that mentioned my username, but I didn't get notifications for them. It might be because someone blocked me, since they tagged their username in the same reply, but I would like to get a notification regardless. Do you think that could be changed? I don't want to potentially miss any replies directed toward me. Thanks in advance!

@MarioLover92 do you know which comment/post you are referring too? There are a couple of reasons when notifications don't get triggered: as Woomy says, if it's edited in later, it doesn't cause a notification. Likewise, if you view a post/comment within 5 mins of it being posted, it won't always trigger one also. Let me know the specifics and I can investigate further.
@antdickensIt's this one from Tyranexx. For me, it says that it was posted on Friday at 6:23 PM. (I'm located in the US, EDT.) That post wasn't edited, and I still wasn't given a notification.
That other reply from Tyranexx is a different post, just so you know. In between those two should have been the post that I linked, but it's not there in my notification log. It's still been happening to me, too - do let me know if you have any more questions.

@MarioLover92 OK, so I looked into this. It's because that post contains an @ mention of another user that you are ignoring, therefore, it doesn't create the notification. This is intended behaviour, but I am now wondering if its the best option.
@Anti-Matter as I explained before, that’s expected. However, I’m tempted to disable it so anyone gets notifications of comments/posts even if it contains a username of a user they are ignoring.
@Rambler@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I'm the reply in that post, I never edited in Eagly's name. That edit was to fix some typos. He was tagged from the start.
Definitely has to be a bug because I haven't blocked Eagly, nor did I edit his name in, that tag was there in my initial response.
Posting because I see my response is missing from Eagly's notifications.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika no, so as expected, you didn't get that notification because the post mentioned someone that you are ignoring; therefore, the notification was skipped. Likewise, that user ignores you too, so they didn't get the notification either.
That aside, as previously discussed on this thread, that doesn't really make sense in this context. Therefore I have changed the code to only suppress the notification if the user mentioned directly ignores the author (and not simply someone else mentioned in the post).
So, with that new logic, both of you would have got the notification.
Hey, is there any chance you could make it so that if you're watching a thread and a user that's blocking you posts in it you don't get a notification? It just annoys me quite often, so I figured I may as well ask.

Articles with Youtube videos seem to be lagging a lot currently. Also this thread disappeared (maybe connected to the recent changes regarding the ignore function), I was only able to find it via my browser history.
