Going by current release lists, it'll likely be soon... [youtube:FanHxMmQ_eE] Unless Giana Sisters gets a release date or if they stop shuffling around Trackmania Turbo: Build to Race and just freakin release it already! Either way, pretty abrupt end to DS it seems unless newer multiplatform 3DS titles aren't just quick and dirty DS ported titles with 3D capability added in last minute.
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
That Monster Tale looks amazing. I hope it comes to Europe.
My DS is primarily an RPG-system since I started playing DQIX. I've recently imported Radiant Historia and managed to find pretty much all of the Pokemon RPGs, as well as Golden Sun, Chrono Trigger, a few FF games and the Kingdom Hearts games to name but a few.
So the last DS game I'll get will probably be RPG in nature, but I can see DS games being released for a while yet.
It's pokémon White for me, though it is the swan song for my console : I'll get rid of it in 13 days. I'll still buy DS games though, and in priority Solatorobo and Layton.
Not sure... I still think there will be a few more titles released on the DS.
I just got Pokemon White. And I'm looking to eventually get Radiant Historia and Okamiden.
I'll also want to get Ace Attorney Investigations 2, Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute, and Ni No Kuni should any or all of them be released over here.
I don't have much for backtracking to do as I've acquired most of the DS games I want at this point that are available. Although I haven't had much time to play many of them due to school work. I'm hesitant to call anything a swan song quite yet though. While I do think focus is primarily going to be on the 3DS for now, I can't see DS being swept completely under quite yet. I give it at least a year (especially considering we have some games that need to be brought over from Japan that haven't been announced yet).

Before the 3DS comes out, it's definitely Pokémon White Version. However, there are still some games I'd like to pick up later like Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney Investigations, and the Professor Layton games I missed out on..

Oh man, you're in for a real triple-treat. All of these games are my favorite DS games narrative-wise.
Okamiden will probably be the last game I get before the 3DS's release, but it'll be a while before I have a swan song per se. There's still dozens of DS games I still need to get, and I've never had a console I've stopped supporting after it's death. It'll probably be at least 5 or 10 years before I'm up to speed. Heck, I still don't have all the PS1 and GBC games I want. Plus there's always that chance I'll stumble upon a game years from now that I never thought of trying in the console's heyday.
Okami-den is the perfect swan song for this unforgeable system. The technical presentation is the DS's best, the gameplay has a great sense of scope and awe. The game isn't perfect, but neither was the DS. It feels gimmicky at times, but so did the DS. Overall though, Okami-den is an amazing adventure that will be sure to stick with you as an experience of awe, just like the DS. I bid the DS a good buy, and welcome the 3ds with open arms.

Although it looks good to play, like I said, don't count your chickens before they hatch...or even put all your eggs in one basket...Pokemon became popular when the Colour came out (a year later in the UK)...something could still surprise us yet.
ATLUS just announced Devil Survivor 2 for the DS. I'm sticking with the DS until the 3DS is worth buying, probably when the second model comes out in less than two years.
Haven't gotten Okamiden or Ghost Trick yet, so it might be those. Unless the next Layton game stays on normal DS for the transition to the West. After that... who knows...
Pffft, I don't need a swan song. Eventually I'll get a 3DS, and by that point I'll probably still be trying to play through all my DS games, or at least trying to get my money's worth out of them.
