What does having a birds eye view have to do with the games sucking? Link to the Past had top-down view and is my second favorite zelda game. PH gets too much criticism. It's a good game, and I expect nothing less of ST. There have never been any truly bad zelda games, just different styles which may not suit everyone.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
I agree with Shadx. Link to the Past is actually is my favorite Zelda game. Minish Cap was also great. Phantom Hourglass is great too. I also like the non-birds-eye-view ones like Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. It just depends on what you like.
@zss_shadow: Ha, I knew someone would come in here with something from those HORRIBLE games.
I also don't see how ONE game can destroy a whole franchise...wait nevermind. Sonic & The Secret Rings started something horrible. But that's beside the point. Phantom Hourglass was actually good.
I loved link to the past too... My only problem with it is that I couldn't find that last key in the skull place! I searched every room from to to bottom and could not find it, so I gave up... Back on topic: Dude...... Stop dissing PH! It was a great game. I loved every inch of it, even if it was rather easy. But C'mon, I liked how enemies went poof after you killed them. The game played and felt great. My only problems with it are: 1. Link's head is kinda flat lookin'. 2. Sailing felt like a chore 3/4 of the time.
Phantom Hourglass was brilliant it was just on a portable instead of a home console. What you're doing is the same as comparing Ocarina of Time to Links Awakening.
You guys realize that this game has a 90 on metacritic? This was a really highly praised game. I don't see why you guys don't like it. Oh right, because you don't like fun.

The controls where great for PH, easy to learn and put to good use by Nintendo, such as drawing the direction for the moving bomb to travel, they have this handheld with touch screen so obviously it makes sense to try and use it, and they pull it off really well, using old fashioned button commands would have been silly, touch screen just works so well it wouldn't have been half as good without it IMO.
I liked the sailing. Plus when you get the warps it's much faster.
I guess you have not played it to, you can also warp on wind waker. Spirit tracks looks better than ph though, but that is not in the series of wind waker.

Off topic, but I thank that it was Sonic 06 that killed Sonic and Secret Rings was a samll slither of hope.
On Topic: Phantom Hourglass was a great game, I'll give you proof: Overhead view reminded us older gamers of the orginal games and gives it a nolstalgia factor, plus I think it adds a little more challenge in terms of gameplay, 2D Zeldas have always been historically hard. Next up would be the temple which is a mjaor puzzle in the game and really challenges you to think in multiple occasions, It's the best dungeon in the game in my opinion. Also on the subject of puzzles several of Phantom Hourglasses puzzles are much more unique than those in Win Waker. Next up would be the length of the game, It really is a long game and is perfect for on the go travel. My last point for now will be that the bosses are in my opinion more unique and challenging then in Wind Waker, especially the last boss. See that Phantyom Hourglass is good now?

Nobody is trying to change your mind, they are just expressing their own opinions, its an open forum when you post here you will get different opinions, we aren't here just to pretend we agree with whatever any users posts, and disagreement is the norm on forums.

What are you talking about wind waker is 10 times longer. Also it is WIND waker not win waker.
