My next big purchase will most likely be NSMB for the Wii. But in a few weeks I'm going on vacation and will be bringing the DS. I am currently playing Bowser's Inside Story but want something else in case I finish it. Should I get Super Mario Brothers for the DS or is there another good adventure / platformer I should get?
The Legendary Starfy A Castlevania game N+ Kirby Canvas Curse Super Princess Peach Mega Man ZX Yoshi Touch & Go Sonic Rush
...really, you could do a lot better than New Super Mario Bros.
NSMBWii is gonna be great. yoshi touch and go sux. no story, boring as hell! if youre gonna go wit a yoshi type game go wit yoshis island ds. sonic rush is ok, but too short. megaman zx... idk. Super Princess peach gets crapped on by nsmbwii! kanvas kurse is eh alright. N+ is like a puzzle game? well if u like puzzle games id get that. castlevania is awesome! get nsmbwii or spirit tracks!

...You do know he's talking about the DS New Super Mario Bros.? And how does New Super Mario Bros. Wii "crap on" Super Princess Peach? NSMBWii isn't even out yet. Same with Spirit Tracks.
If its not too late, get Spirit Tracks when it releases. I wouldn't recomend Sonic Rush. Too short, not much fun as the other sonic's. NSMB DS is much better, but I wouldn't go for that either, since you might want a long game. I would suggest Mario 64 DS, Spirit Tracks, or Phantom Hourglass.
And it looks like Castlevania games are hard to get.
Really? I never had any trouble finding them, and for a good price at that.= And they seem to be pretty abundant online(the DS ones, at least). The a huge amount, but enough, and for a good price(used, at least, but why be picky?)
NMSB is a great choice. Low difficulty is one of the main criticisms of the game, but in many ways the difficulty is adjustable--sure, there are items everywhere to make it easier if you're no good at platforming, but if you avoid the items and extra lives then some of the levels can be quite challenging. I got the game as a Christmas gift along with my first DS lite and it is one of the few titles I still come back to. Heck, I still haven't gotten 100% on it as there are some gold coins I haven't been able to obtain and/or find yet. Some of the levels have that same originality that has made past 2D Mario games so good.
Sure, it may not be as good as SMB3 or SMW, but it's still one heck of a DS game.
Super Mario 64 is also great, my main reservation being that it occasionally becomes frustrating trying to pull off tricky sections without an analogue stick. It's still a great game and another great choice for your DS.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
