Anyone who has purchased Polarium will know exactly what visual style I'm talking about when I say the aesthetics of Wakugumi are amazing - completely minimalistic but at the same time modern, classy and brilliantly sharp. I absolutely love this kind of visual style (part of the reason I like Art Style games), and this has instantly become my favourite game, from an aesthetics point of view.
The gameplay is very interesting, and quite mind bending. Building a box of one colour around another colour sounds easy, until you realise you also need to do the reverse. It's really hard to explain, but basically once you get into the mindset of creating boxes of white around black, it becomes very difficult to create boxes of black around white.
Which is why Wakugumi is a deceptively simple, but challenging puzzler. Like Mitchell's other DSiWare release: Suujin Taisen, this actually feels like a full retail game in terms of features (it's as fully-featured as Polarium, for instance), and is carried off with such an effortless style that I really, really recommend you download this one - it is better at being an "art style" game than the Art Style games.
