So, JayArr's "way's to get from here to there" post was very useful; now we need a few more categories like that. There are too many things that I find myself repeating, where I'd love to have additional options.
So, what are some alternate ways to attach things? I overuse the glue and the rope in so many situations.

Some words I thought weren't in the dictionary turned out to be copyrighted brand-names, but the actual items are usually there if you know the proper brand-neutral term.
Case in point: Zamboni. I was disappointed that I couldn't summon one, until I searched Twitter, and found someone noting that "ice resurfacer" is the term that will produce it in Scribblenauts. "Laser sword" is certainly like that as well, thanks for bringing it up -- I thought the game was light-saberless!
There are quite a bit of get this person/animal safely to a desination puzzles. I was always using the attach rope/tether/chain and drag them method. I assume a lot of other people are too.
Thanks to warioswoods I discovered a fun and easier new method. Use the shrink ray on them. Then stick them in a bag and go to the destinaion.

Haha, nice work! I may have been the one to announce the shrink ray here, but I never thought to put the tiny animal in a bag and carry it to the destination. Kind of amusing that such a tactic is considered a victory... shouldn't the sheep herder, for instance, be upset that you've shrunken his animal and won't fix it? (Unless there's a way to undo the shrinkage, but not that I know of).

what i found is that pegasus is the easiest to use to fly (or wings) so attach a chain to the thing you need to drag and get on your pegasus and off you go into the wild blue yonder

Every time I summon 'pie', the clown vigorously attempts to eat it. Seriously. If you throw it at him, he catches it and eats it. After three pies, he falls asleep.
Anyone know of any flying vehicles with mounted weapons? I'm stuck on 1-6 (I forgot if it's puzzle or action), and an item like that would definitely help.

Level 1-7 (action) is why I bought this game. Metal, glue, three ropes, a magnet, and you don't have to get past the tornado to get to the starite, the starite comes to you! Pwnawesome physics engine.
