According to the folks at LucasArts, the Star Wars battle will somehow be getting bigger this fall, with the coming of Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (again with the colons!) for DS and PSP. While I don't fully understand how that is possible, considering the last game in the series was on a more powerful home console, I'll just take their word for it. My thoughts exactly, but I was too scared to say them. Even though it pales in comparison to the gorgeous PSP version. I advise you don't watch any trailers of the PSP version, though. Preserve the awesomeness.
If the gameplay delivers, I suppose it doesn't matter? At any rate, n-space is a fairly prolific developer on the DS. They sure can squeeze a lot out of the little guy.
Yeah, and most of them appear to be backed up by some compelling arguments. Don't use Metacritic, though; they haven't put any up yet (I don't count the one posted so far as it's a review of the PSP version). The trailer still looks awesome, though.
