@Hansausage Where there's a will, there's a way!

Step 1: Copy sprites from lower screen sheet into upper sheet using CHRREAD and CHRSET
Step 2: Save the upper sprite sheet.
Step 3: Load the sprite sheet in CHRED and edit it.
Step 4: Save your work
Step 5: Load the new sprite sheet in your program with LOAD "SPS0:MYSHEET", where MYSHEET is the name of the sheet
Step 6: Done!

I guess I'll make QRs for this in a second. Hang on.

Oh Thanks, I knew there was a way...I just didn't know it. But thank's for teaching me!
I just realized my cookie clicker addiction...

waiitttt, I'm confused. I wanted to get a regular sprite I made, on the bottom screen.

@Anyone who made an explanation for me I haven't tried any thing I just want an example of sprite collision which can show you what each command does and what it does altogether. Plus my sister has been hogging my 3DS. AGAIN!!!!!!!

If Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens. Wait was that just a joke?

Learning takes patience. You cannot just load a sprite sheet onto the bottom screen like you wuld top screen.

@noxuss Oh... aww I just made this whole program for nothing! Lol oh well, here's what you do in that case:

Make your sprites; let's say you name "MYSHEET".
In your program, do: LOAD "SPS0:MYSHEET". Now when you use SPPAGE 1, sprites 0 to 63 will be the sprites on MYSHEET, and you can use them on the bottom screen. That's all.

Hey can anyone tell me how to put sprites, backgrounds, and text on touchscreens?
And how to make certain points on the screen when you touch em do something? thanks

@Leviceljir http://petitcomputer.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:7721. Basically, if they're sprites, use SPS0 or SPS1. If they're anything else, just stick an "L" at the end (as described in thread).

As for your touching thing, TCHST tells you if you're touching the touchscreen, TCHX and TCHY tell you where on the touchscreen you're touching. If you really need it, TCHTIME tells you how long you've been touching (in 1/60th of a second, or the number of VSYNCs)

Edit: Well, I made this, so I might as well put it out there:
Untitled

It's the totally useless program that lets you edit the default lower screen sprites. This DOESN'T MEAN that you'll replace them, you'll just see them in CHRED, and can edit them.

For some reason I still get the standard SPS. Do I have to save the sprites I make differently in CHREDT?

Right now I can only answer your first question. But this is what I do sometimes:

GPAGE 1: PNLTYPE "OFF"
GBOX 80,55,155,80,5
@DOIT
IF TCHX>79 AND TCHY<156 AND TCHY>54 AND TCHY<81 THEN GOTO @END
GOTO @DOIT
@END
END

That's no excuse. Just browse the pages on tutorial thread, and write down (on paper) each command you see. Then you figure out how they work either by the explanations, or help file, or just plain guessing. And write down the simplest program you can. Then I will help you. You don't need a computer to learn how to program. I didn't, when I first learned Basic.

Of course, calling yourself "Genius" and telling people to go to you for PTC help doesn't help you at all, you know? How about you do your own homework? I'm too busy playing Animal Crossing New Leaf to be bothered with copying and pasting existing materials.

Nevermind, I had to change SPPAGE before I loaded it.

@Leviceljir I think you'll enjoy this news.

In Minecraft DS, I've found a way to improve lag SO MUCH that I was able to revert textures back to 16x16...and it's STILL faster than before!

"Did somebody say Aincrad?"
"No, go back to your own game!"
"awwww"
"And make out with Asuna."
"Aww-I mean YAY"

@IAmAPerson Will this update only be available in Minecraft DS 2.0?

Of course not! I'm working on Beta 1.7 right now. Beta 2.0's development will start in a couple months.

This is...

The best news I've heard since the addition of multiple layers.

EDIT: Wait no you are removing the best part of the program. lag. ehh... i guess if i want 16x16 textures then i should accept it... but the 8x8 textures would serve as... AN AWESOME FIRST OFFICAL TEXTURE PACK!
(woooo!)

@Hansausage I'm getting fairly close to Beta 1.1 speed, and still improving!

@Leviceljir there will be no more support for 8x8 textures. Only 16x16. It took me 30 minutes just to revert all the stuff to 16x16. And I still have yet to fix texture pack support. It broke after the addition of block IDs. D:

Well I tried putting the 16x16 textures in 1.6.6 and they became weirder than the normal 8x8 textures XD so it makes sense that it only can work on one or the other.
