Obviously this is an issue that needs to be fixed. Now the question...Is it Wikia itself or just the PTC Wiki?
Anyone like my progress on Pixelli? I may release a demo when WorldEdit is complete!
Hey guys, I think that I'm not doing much with programming right now. What should I start working on? I will try to make my first ever game. Yeaaahhhhh I actually have never made a game before. So I'm not much of a popular programmer on here. So I just want to make a game. What should I make?
Ooh ooh, I have a weird idea for my personal enjoyment. ahem, make a game with skills that you can grind. Like mining, and woodcutting, and you get xp and can level them up, after certain levels you can cut better trees and mine better stuff .
i might do a thing like that... like a rythem adventure thing. you walk in a beat automaticly, and when a obstical pops up you press the right button and it is desroyed. leveling takes you to a new area. Yes, i will do that
"Did somebody say Aincrad?"
"No, go back to your own game!"
"awwww"
"And make out with Asuna."
"Aww-I mean YAY"
I have 1 more bug fix and 1 more feature and I'll be ready to make slimes! I just added an intro animation for Minecraft DS; it looks really cool. I believe Lumage from the PTC Wikia wanted to make a better title screen, but it'd require more files because he/she (hard to tell on the internet) was gonna use background files. You guys' choice: more files and more QRs for a better title screen, or less QRs and files for a crappy looking title screen (the current one)
If Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens.
@Discostew I totally need your help. I'm trying to write a text-to-GRP program which will convert a text file into a GRP file (big surprise). It... sort of works. I used your post hundreds of pages back to get the header and data section set up correctly (or so I thought). When I create the GRP, PTC Utilities loads it up just fine (and it looks right too). However, when I try to make a QR code, it crashes. On top of that, SmileBoom's converter is telling me it's a bad file. I'm thinking it has something to do with the way I generated the MD5 hash, because even if I put garbage in there, PTC Utilities will still load it in the editor (it just won't make the QR codes). I've tried applying the MD5 hash to the unformatted data section (as read from the file) as well as the formatted data section (after moving the data around as you've described), but to no avail. I've checked the size of the data section, checked the header over and over, and tried various string encodings for MD5, but I still haven't been able to get it right. Do you have any suggestions?

Why not both? (Play hispanic music here) -old el paso commercial parody is what i just did there.
Okay so here is something to fight about POLL:Should i release a Pixelli demo with the full WorldEdit and Limited functionality of the WorldSim gamemode?
Currently 4 yes's 0 no's
EDIT: I have resorted to hard coding the BG placement in Pixelli because the TCH and BG systems in PTC are vastly different so a demo may take a little longer than expected.
@Hansausage yes
im adding simulation battles in my rpg so you can fight a simulated version of your character or you can fight the character from another save file so you can brag about beating people :3 also there are no rewards and you don't lose anything if you lose
@Hansausage yes,just make a demo. @IAmAPerson i would rather have a better title screen with more QR codes. @twinArmaqeddonz that sounds like a cool feature for your RPG!
EDIT: I noticed how long my signature was. Is it too long?
EDIT EDIT: Minecraft 2.0 is getting closer and closer, and fast. I'm gonna choose 3 people to test. Who should I choose? Post on my PTC Wikia Wall! You cannot vote for yourself, and one vote per person. It can be people from here or the Wikia. I have my vote, but I'll post it as an anonymous vote so I don't hurt people's feelings.

Gosh...I have to hard code 23 rows on the Y axis and 22 on the X axis...Programming is fun. What a great time
BTW @Iamaperson I voted! Look on your Message wall.
@IAmAPerson Oh jeez, I only just noticed that you got the song! I'm glad you like it! Does it sound accurate/nice enough?
I don't know how it can get any better! Thanks! I tried to port Living Mice, but it sounded like crap. I'd ask if you could do that one as well, but I'm sure it would take a while. (I'm not good at asking people for favours)

Mmmm well, if I get any more free time, I'll try to make those as well. Some songs can be ported easily, and sound nice. Although I haven't come across any myself, I've seen others do it. Others (usually songs that are complex either because of the note structure or the lyrical quality) should really be written by hand if you want them to sound remotely nice.
I'll stop playing Halo and get serious. (Seriously though, I'm beast at that game) I should work on Apocalypse Rising a little bit. I know, I'll do walking animation. I'll get to work right away.
Awesome, I got left walking animation. I haven't defined the other animations yet because SPANIM is so widely confusing. Up right and down I'm stuck on. I'll experiment with this a little.
EDIT: I thought about this in MM2 PTC. I know it's the MM3 intro theme, but it's SO EPIC!
Discostew, I saw your YouTube video "Something strange and mystical", and saw you created your own level in your MegaMan II. Will this be in the full game?
Then follows the 49152 byte array that contains the actual data. However, it is not sequential. It is segregated in blocks and such, but, I have the algorithm (but it is in C,C++,C#).
for (int j = 0; j < 3; j++)
for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++)
for (int y = 0; y < 8; y++)
for (int x = 0; x < 8; x++)
for (int yy = 0; yy < 8; yy++)
for (int xx = 0; xx < 8; xx++)
secondArray[(j * 16384) + (i * 4096) + (y * 512) + (x * 64) + (yy * 8) + xx] = firstArray[(j * 16384) + (i * 64) + (y * 2048) + (x * 8) + (yy * 256) + xx];
Now, about the MD5 hash string, you'll have to form that yourself. I use Visual Studio which has functions to take a byte array and form a 16 byte string. This is what I do to generate it,
using System.Security.Cryptography; //This is required to make the MD5 functions available
MD5CryptoServiceProvider md5 = new MD5CryptoServiceProvider();
byte[] hash = md5.ComputeHash(md5Stream);
I then take the "hash", and write it into the header at the position according to the list above. The array that was rearranged is written after the 48 bytes to form a file equal to 49164 bytes. And that's it.

@Discostew That's exactly what I've done. I know I've formatted the data section correctly, because I copied your code (lol sorry) and the picture turned out right (instead of all jumbled up). I've written it in C# as well, and I'm using the cryptography class just as you are too (well, sort of). Is the MD5 hash applied to the altered structure data, or the original data? Also, would you suggest just working with bytes instead of going back and forth between bytes and strings?
It should all be in bytes. Writing a string as-is will cause additional bytes to be written, like the length of the string. You need to write the strings as if they are byte arrays.
The MD5 hash string is based on the altered structure.
