Nope. We all play PC games. More than half of that population have WASD controls.

It seems that we have a bunch of new members to the forum. First of all, Welcome! Second of all, there are things you should know:

• If you have a question, please try and see If you could find it elseware before asking here. The included manual is a great place to start. The included demos help a lot too.
• Please do not ask stereotypical questions such as "How do I control this sprite with buttons?". A more correct way would be "How do I use the BUTTON() variable?"
• STAY ON TOPIC. This thread has a name. Its not Minecraft and its not generic control methods for PC games. Ask thise questions in more appropriate forums such as the off-topic one.
• Do not post stuff just because you're bored. We like it clean here (Right Guys?)
• If you're on the live chat, good for you. You do not need to make a permanent post here about it.

Got drawing down.

means
GLINE 100,110,150,160,10

It successfully interprets and runs fine.

I assume it's going in an infinite loop, printing "i am chris"? I tried your code, and it continues to ask my name each time. Did you accidentally put a space in your last line to make it goto @a talk instead of goto @atalk?

I just thought of something...
What if someone posted code to get help and @mentioned somebody with a label?

@Discostew Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to do. But CHRSET is too slow... oh well.

@randomous I would have imagined the forming of those strings would have been the slow part with all those HEX$ conversions, not to mention you're having to work with a great number of 8x8 pixel blocks instead of one large sequential buffer that goes from left-to-right, top-to-bottom.

@Malltog I see you've never heard of the mysterious @loop.

Does someone know how to change a sprite by pressing a Button?
Im would make it moving and change the sprite, but of i press a Button, then it moves in a direction first and change the sprite, but then it moves back Where the Sprite was before.
The code is for example:

Spofs 1,x,y+10,07
Spset 1,76,0,0,0,1,16,16
Goto @loop

Whats wrong?

EDIT Oh, and if it helps, I've got TS$(0-7) and TI(0-7) as Temporary Strings and Temporary Integers (EDIT 2 which can be real numbers too, just I called them TI). You could use them.
