Topic: Nintendo Australia announces DSi Price Drop!

Today Nintendo Australia have announced a price drop for the DSi. Previously priced at $299.95, it is now $50 cheaper at $249.95. This happened as the DSi XL is out tomorrow in Australia for $299.95 so the regular DSi had to have a price drop. I always thought it was weird that Nintendo would price both DSi's the same and now they have changed it at the last second!

Lol. They're probably just trying to annoy people who already own a Dsi.

@BooNelson
Well the XL should be more expensive with its bigger screens and longer battery life than the DSi. Also I agree they're probably trying to annoy people who just got a DSi.

I imagine was done more to make the DSi continue to sell. When faced with buying a DSi and a bigger (and newer) DSi at the exact same price, I doubt many people would go for the old version.

Wow....I understand about buying myself a Japanese DSi, but am I glad the American version is cheaper. O_O(Not gloating, please don't hurt me)

Anything particularly, different about the Australian, Japanese ,etc besides languages and DSiWare?...Of coarse I know why they cost more, but I'm just wondering.

They're no more different than the European/American ones apart from later release dates and higher prices.

Okay...

I find quite interesting, that the japanese version has devil horns as a choice on the mischief lense on the cam. (my sisters friend had a japanese DSi)

Really? Never heard of that before! Oh and in my previous post I was only talking about the big things as I don't usually know about the smaller things like the devil horns.

I got that....

I know the big difference is the nintendo license agreement, you know "the only games are not transferable unless you break it rule."

Don't Nintendo do that in Japan?

No, japanese DSi's are supposedly the only ones that have the ability to copy downloads from system to system or something like that.

But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
