Topic: myPostcards pre-release talk

I don't even know if it saves to the SD card. Keep in mind they have a developer's kit, which I'm guessing can take screen captures.

This is my exact point.

It won't save directly to the SD card, you can thank Nintendo for that. Seems like they only allow themselves to access the SD card because they fear teh piratz! OHHH...
Same seems to go for Internet connection. Unless it's on their servers with their rules you get nothing.

It's disappointing that of all possible non-game apps they choose postcards, especially like Hardy83 mentioned Nintendo is very restrictive. I just don't see it having the success as their previous app and the recent podcast didn't give me any extra hope for any special functionality or anything.

I hate to be the dummy here, but was that done using dsi? If so how?

I meant to send postcards through wiiconnect24, which isn't exactly an ideal way to do so. Sorry for the triple posts.

Well of course. Especially since details haven't even been finalized. Some is speculation.

Is there a feature which lets you take a picture and put it on the postcard?

Yeah, that was practically confirmed in the podcast (though we aren't supposed to know they were referring to myPostcards. Shhhhhh).

I would get this if this was a messaging tool kind of like the Wii Message board, but now, forget it; I'm taking my 200 points elsewhere.

Postcards are simply awesome, making someone happy with a nice colourful card, preferably with music. And now you get this awesomeness on your DS.

I wasn't really expecting Wi-Fi so it's not a huge blow to me. As long as it's 200 points I'll most likely get it.

It'll probably be 200 points, why would it be more? Unless Nintendo decides to be douchey about it.

Also, it's not noted in the video but near the end you'll see an "Add stamp" option in the menu. I asked Nnnoo on Twitter what that was and he said.

"You can add stamps to your postcards. There are a variety of stamps to unlock and customise your postcards with..."

So I'm assuming it's like the different pages in MyNotebook and how you unlock those.
