Yeah, but KH is a Square Enix-published game, and they seem to like the DS, if not the Wii. The most amazing part of the review was them giving the graphics, pretty much the best on DS, an 8.0.

I think an 8.0 is pretty good. This is obviously one of those pigeon-holed games that will likely appeal far more to its core audience than outsiders or gamers not familiar with the series. I was guessing about an 8.5, but an 8 seems okay.

Yeah, I guess an 8.0 is nothing to scoff at. It just seemed to have more potential to me. It was probably just the ridiculous production values deceiving me.

During the review, I heard the guy say "...plays like the original Kingdom Hearts..." Is this true? Because if so, I might have to do a Rocky montage before I get the game =D

BAH TO IGN!! I think the game deserves a 9 or a 10! I'm getting this game tomorrow, and I'll deftinely find out that IGN is EPICALLY WRONG!!
I do agree that the game appeals more to hardcore Kingdom Hearts fans, but it should still appeal to newcomers!

Gamespot also gave it an 8.0 but I'm still getting it tomorrow.

Nintendo Power gave it a 9. From the looks of these scores I feel pretty confident that this game is good. I will definitely be picking it up tomorrow.

Pretty much every single magazine and website gave it an 8.0...so your rant was all for naught I'm afraid.

I think I'm going to get the original Kingdom Hearts for PS2 before I invest $30 into this game--even though it does look pretty sweet. If I'm going to get an RPG for DS, it's probably going to be M&L3 because apparently it's like the greatest thing since sliced bread or something.

You should play Kingdom Hearts I&II [and possibly Re:Chain of Memories] before Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Because I will admit 358/2 Days's plot might be confusing if you have not played the others. You are right that the game deserves a 8 in a game critic's eyes, but it deserves a 10 in my eyes!

I remember that everyone said the Kingdom Hearts games were so great and that I needed to play them. Well, I finally got a PS3, so I bought the first two. Playing through the first one, I thought it was okay. It was nothing amazing. The gameplay itself was ok, but nothing amazing. I was disappointed after how awesome everyone said it was, however; I kept at it because there was no way I wasn't going to finish the first game and find out the rest of the story. After I got past Aladdin's world, the game really seemed to pick up to me. I really got into the first one in the latter half of the game.

Then I played the second KH and that one was just amazing to me. I guess I'm a nut for RPG stories even if they overcomplicate things. So, once I can I'm gonna pick this game up.

Also - those people going on about how they would give the game "score x" before they've even played it - lol.

IN THE REVIEWS OF THE GAME THEMSELVES I see more than enough criticisms (IN ENGLISH WORDS) to know that I will never buy this game. I guess that means I give it a 1/10

An 8.0 for graphics sounds ridiculous as they are pretty amazing for what the DS can do. I'll likely look into these camera and control qualms I've heard before plopping down the cash.
