Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Don't worry about it Odnetnin, it's mostly a problem with me liking Golden Sun way too much. I see GOLDEN SUN and I lose it very quickly. Very quickly. I'm still recovering from Nintendo's E3 conference. It also gave me another chance to view the trailer. Goodnees, it's beautiful.

@GabeGreens: Yes, it's very possible. You'll lose the ability to view the world map in the overworld, and you'll have one less shortcut button for your Psynergy, but it's very playable without it.

@GabeGreens: I'm around 100% sure this game is completely new. It's been confirmed that you'll play as the descendents of the main characters from the the first game, though I wouldn't say no to a remake sometime. And yes, it's one game that unfortunately couldn't fit on one GBA cart, though I don't blame Camelot. Both games offer a main quest upwards of 30 hours, gorgeous visuals, a great soundtrack, and solid old-school RPG gaming with some nice twists.
@SUPERZELDAMAN: I'm a tiny bit biased, but yes, it's a very good game. If you wait for the DS one, though, I won't blame you for anything.

@Gabe: I was going for the understatement of the year award. I think that post might win it for me.

lol, did he lose that again? Or did he lose his GBA last time? Ha, doesn't matter. I'm going to taunt him to no end for that reason. Hey lz, wanna play Golden Sun? Oh wait, you lost it! Mwahahahaha!
I'm such an evil person.

I have never played a Golden Sun game. I might buy Golden Sun just to see if it is as good as Phoenix Sage claims.
Tread lightly, SuperSonic; if you go in thinking it's as good as I say you'll probably be very dissapointed. The last thing I want is to have people hate me because I can't think objectively about it. I'm a fanboy in the worst sense of the word. I won't see reason at all when it comes to Golden Sun, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

@phoenixsage is it a good game??? ill probally just wait to get the ds one
The game manages to do absolutely everything wrong. I dare you to suggest a worse RPG than this. It's THAT bad. *The plot is barely there in the first place, and the game more or less ignores it. Essentially, you're chasing some guys around the world, but end up being distracted by a ton of unrelated crap that leads to dunegons and bosses and tons of cutscenes, but no plot. The plot is touched upon roughly five times during the game, and this is a game that goes over TWO carts. *The characters are wooden and have no personality at all. *The cutscenes go on and on and on and on and on are and nothing but uninteresting and unimportant babble. *The difficulty is more or less non-existant. The monsters can be beaten by just hammering attack a lot, and the bosses are beaten by summon-spamming. *The djinni system pretends it offers a lot of customization, but the best results are gotten by just throwing all djinni of one element on the guy with the corresponding element. Always. The game is so easy it doesn't matter much anyway, and attack magic doesn't do much more damage than normal weapons, so any special magic you gain from certain combinations are useless. *Using magic on the field to solve puzzles is interesting in theory, but in practice only means you have to watch 5-second magic animations every time you move a block when solving block puzzles. Compare to the areas in Pokemon where you need to use HM moves a lot, just more annoying and much more frequent. *The monsters are all boring and unmemorable. As is most everything else, really.
I never understood how these games managed to get such a following. They're essentially a checklist of things to avoid in RPG design. Insultingly bad games.
