I dropped my DSi from about 4ft onto a hardwood floor and after my shock that I broke my DSi I found there was not even the lightest scracth on it! I dropped a DSPhat and it broke I dropped a GBAsp and it Broke I even Dropped a Game Gear and it Broke! So it suprised me that such a fall didn't break my DSi. I feel lucky that its just like new! Has anybody broken there DSi yet?
Slash, how did you drop your game gear? Even my childhood couldn't destroy that (could scratch the screen up pretty good though). It was a tough little bugger.

I more or less ..........threw it in frustration....... I hated that thing! the only things I like SEGA did was the Genisis and Dreamcast.
Well, I dropped my DSi from the top of my bunk bed while standing up, and it was fine even though it fell on my toolbox. My DS Phat however, survived over 70 drops on concrete [except the L button stopped working, the touch screen stopped working, and it made funny noises when you started it up]

Awww. I loved me some Game Gear.

The DS Phat cannot be killed. Mine has now reached the point that the top screen is hanging there simply by its wire. It still works. Don't know what you did with your Phat or GBA SP, because after years of not-exactly-stellar care, both of mine still work. The GBA SP isn't even damaged.
DSi... I dunno, I don't want to drop it. I'm sure it is sturdy, but the plastic just feels a bit thin. Especially since in the dark you can actually see the backlights through it.

i broke my Gameboy SP. the top started out silver, after 6 years of dropping it on pavement, the top was almost black from all the paint being rubbed off. then one day i went to play Mario and Luigi, i turned it on, and all that came up was a frozen white screen saying Gameboy Advance

OP, how far did you drop your DS? Mine (original) fell out of my pocket once and bounced down the stairs (maybe a 10 ft drop). No significant damage done, maybe a few tiny bruises.
I thought my DS phat was indestructible. I dropped it about 3 times a month, but it was fine. My friend's broke, so he got a DS lite. Then that broke, so he had to get another DS lite. I was laughing at him 'cause my DS Phat was indestructible.
It still works fine, but the hinge is loose, and the touch screen looks like a lottery scratch ticket (after it's been scratched), so I decided to get a DSi (and I'm glad I did (but that's for a different topic)).
Oh, my friend got a DSi too, because his 3rd DS broke.

My DS Phat, the top screen my cousing bite in frustration.... (long Story) and it carcaked the top screen in half, the acual hing never sat in place, and the bottom of it was all grazed, and the battery part had like a chunk out of it (again never let little cousins hold your ds) and it still worked......
