So, Nintendo goofed and failed to include "Cut the Rope" in today's list of Nintendo online downloads but there it is, in the e-shop, just waiting to be downloaded. WTF! lol. So, that being said, have any of you downloaded it and played it, and what do you think? Does it live up to or exceed the original iPhone game? Let us know

There are many games out there that would benefit from being on the DS (or 3DS) rather than the iPhone, as the DS has buttons... But this, is not one of them.
I have almost completed the second box. For someone who has not played the iOS version before, I am pulled in by the charm it has. Unfortunately, I also think this game would have benefited from the 3DS's improved interfaces and whatnot. As a DSiWare release, it is guaranteed not to be updated, more or less, and it suffers from occasional framerate issues as a result of the lower RAM and whatnot. Still, it is a game to play if you have no means to get it elsewhere (like me).

This saddens me. WHY didn't they make this a 3DSware release?? Are developers SCARED that more people have a dsi than a 3ds and want the most sales possible? Is this the reason for the lack of 3dsware original titles??

Their reason for DSiWare has got to be to reach a broader market. If they released it as a 3DSWare release, it would cut off the DSi user base. With DSiWare, it's available on both the 3DS and DSi. Despite their wise choice, it's better suited as a 3DSWare: better resolution, a lower price, and more memory.
