Has anyone gotten this yet? I heard it just lasts 30 minutes but that each level has its own enemies kind of like X-Scape. Would like to hear more impressions/reviews/thoughts before buying... since this is a 500 point game. Is it worth it?

I don't really care for it. I could excuse the poor graphics, but the gameplay is just too dull. I feel bad bashing an upstart indy developers work (like I'm badmouthing a friend), but I just can't recommend this game.

That is somewhat similar to what I heard earlier from a friend on here (who has been at work since we last spoke this morning.) Apparently he just played it once and never felt obligated or any desire to go back to the game and because of that he said it wasn't worth the 500 pts. Who is the developer?

I thought it was okay. Its not stellar or anything. But has a unique game mechanic with 3 weapon styles for attack and defense. You get to use two of them in a game. You get one life in this game. With 6 stages, you get both weapons at full health at the beginning of each stage. Each weapon gets its own health bar and depletes with damage. You can switch weapons for the situation or for conserving health. You can recover weapon health by destroying enemies with the other weapon. You can use a shield which helps with defense, but only when a meter is filled. That is the gist of the weapon system.
The 3 weapon styles are: Power: Slow but powerful shots. Sheild will destoy bullets and damage nearby enemies. Attraction: Shoots weak rapid homing shots. Shield will Absorb bullets and fill the attraction weapons health meter. Repulsion: 3 way spread shot. Shield reflects bullets.
The main game is short with six stages. But like many arcade shooters, you shoot for high scores. I played easy mode and beat it on my second attempt. One of the earlier bosses has an anoying attack style which got me killed. Beating any difficulty will unlock 3 other modes which are okay. But the big one is a boss rush with souped up bosses. I only need to unlock hard by beating easy. I would reccomend it if you want a unique shooter.
I like retro/throwback titles like X-Scape, just might have to give this one a chance. Thanks for the review, joeK0!

I've been playing this lately and enjoying it. It's got a unique weapon system which made it interesting. It's kinda on the other end of the spectrum from a bullet hell game. Easy mode is slow and things die quicker, so once you get the hang of the game you'll breeze through it. As you go up the difficulty levels things speed up and enemies take more hits, so it gets a nice challenge going.
Length is fairly typical for an old school shooter, and working up the difficulty levels will keep you busy for a while. The bonus modes are nice little diversions.

Good to hear! I might download it after all. How are the graphics and in-game music?
