As you can see, the big climber this week was Pop Island, climbing 5 spots to #12 on the list. The big faller was Bookworm, falling 8 spots to #14. With three new entries, three games fell off the list, and those three games are Guitar Rock Tour, Master of Illusion Express: Mind Probe, and Foto Face: The Face Stealer Strikes.

Just let it happen.

What I'm really interested to see is how this list changes come Christmas. I'm sure lots of people will be getting points cards. Maybe some more 800 point games will show up on the list.

Gota Catch 'em ALL!
Current HG Pokemon count: 180
Mario VS DK; Minis March Again: 3309-2151-9209

I'm also glad that Pop Island is doing well. Other than The electroplanktons, I think that Pop Island is one of the best deals on the service.

Just let it happen.

I will make sure to get the list for december 26th up. I know there will probably be a drastic change, since many people are planning to get points cards, and some people are probably getting a DSi. I myself am planning to get a point card [or two......or three ]

Just let it happen.

Too me, it looks like the crap is being filtered out, this includes Nintendos shovelware.

WiiWare on the other hand can still have a bunch of crap on the charts, but electroplankton and the magic games didn't last long at all when good stuff came out, which leaves me to belive that DSiWare buyers are much more concious on what they buy as opposed to WiiWare. To me, they seem to go online and look up reviews and impressions before a purchase or have already done homework. Quite a volatile market for Nintendo to be honest. They can't treat them like morons like the Wii owners even though they are trying to.

It is however better for third parties and the companies that make good games will get the attention.

@hardy .....are you implying that Electroplankton is crap?

I'd better call a doctor, because you need a reality check

The retail game, which I own, is not crap, but single versions of the game is crap. I think DSiWare users are just tired of Nintendo games which are essentially paid demos.
I think if they put the whole game as one game (the full game is only 16MB) and sell it for 1000 points, it would've faired much better.

I only don't like the retail versions because of switching between them. It's much cheaper than buying the game on Ebay. There are both Pros and cons to the single versions.

I'm not saying there isn't cons to the single versions, I just personally don't like it, well, I personally am not impressed at all with how Nintendo is handling DSiWare at all to be honest, but I'm sure many of you already know that.
All I can say is thank GOD the third parties have stepped up.

I do agree that Nintendo does not know how to make DSiware. Seriously, who needs a clock when you have a watch and the time is displayed on the DSi screen. I am extremely glad the the third parties are making pretty good games. Pop island is a great example of what third parties can do.

Just let it happen.

@Hardy83 and @110percentful

I can't agree more!!! Nintendo is releasing way too much shovelware on their service... paying for what's basically demos of retail games that have already been released. And I'm not saying all of the first party games have been bad (ie. the art style games and mario vs. dk 3), but nintendo needs more original first party games on their service.

I think if Nintendo developed more DSiWare it'd tick off too many DS Lite owners and 3rd-party developers. For example, if they somehow had a Mario Kart and F-Zero DSiWare, no one else would try to compete in racing games and DS owners would cry that they don't get F-Zero. Leave it to the third parties, people seem to love the iPhone app store and I can't think of any 1st-party games for it.
