Technically yes and no. What I posted was actually posted 45 minutes ago. Yes the information IS old because Nintendo said from the start, not all figures will be restocked, and to get the ones you want right away. This still stands today.

Did you not hear me? That response was received 45min ago from Kotaku who got it directly from Nintendo PR. Also no offense but that's a reply from Twitter. We've had several messages from Nintendo through Twitter that where contradictory like Bayonetta 2 and the bonus. Also it sounds to me like he's saying the same thing but not actually saying there won't be a second shipment just so people don't go freaking out and start buying amiibos to sell them on ebay or something.
Also Wave 2 is coming out soon. They need to make room. All of the places I've been to there's hardly even room for the figures they already have. I see a bunch of Mario, Peach, Link, Kirby and DK.

That is much more clear. I didn't go to the source in the link you posted cause it appeared to be the same old information I had already heard. Your link was also to some Fan Nintendo site that will post anything as news, so I didn't give it much credibility.
Sorry I should have been clearer myself. I linked to GoNintendo, which posted a quote from Kotaku from a response they got from Nintendo PR. It didn't mention on there where it was from but they linked the source on the bottom. Sorry for everyone who got confused, and wrote this for anyone else as well.

Yeah, Nintendo had already stated that they wouldn't restock some amiibo after a while. The problem with this rumor was that a few amiibo were discontinued way too soon.
I'm not even sure "discontinued" is the right term here. "Limited run" is a better term since there was only a limited shipment. "Discontinued" gives the negative connotation

Yeah that's what's going on here. So anyone still expecting Nintendo to pump out more Marths are going to be hurt. There just isn't space and those figures where already kinda rare to begin with. I think I only ever saw one Marth and Wii Fit Trainer, at my Target.. and I work there.
