Ok guys, I have an idea. But it will only work if we do this together, as a team. This method has been proven on Neogaf and Cheapassgamer. It's basically a chat through a phone app designated for alerts only. If you're looking to find Amiibo and willing to monitor pre orders with the rest of us, by all means follow the steps listed below and share in the wealth- there's plenty to go around. It's strength in numbers- the more people who are in the chat and keeping tabs on certain websites here and there, the greater the chance the group will be alerted as soon as Amiibos go live. 1) On iOS or Android download the LINE app. 2) Create an account- you can use a FB account if you want 3) Within the app, set your ID. This can be done in the Friends tab. Go to add friends, search by ID, and you will see the option to set your own ID. 4) Post here with your LINE username and ID 5) I will add you as a friend, and then invite you to the chat room. 6) Keep alerts turned on, and post any finds to the LINE app chat room to notify everyone else. ONLY POST FINDS to the LINE chat! 7) After notifying those in the LINE chat, please post to this thread for everyone else. LINE notification should take precedence though. 8) We have a separate chat group for conversation with notifications off- use that for anything thats not a link to Amiibo We've so far managed to secure everyone in the chat every Amiibo since the group was created. All of wave 4, wave 5, gold Mario, Yarn Yoshi in all 3 colors... you name it. We've secured Japanese imports for waves 1-3 that people missed out on as well. NOTE: Please only post LINE app details to join the chat, or news of Amiibo listings. Keep it simple and to the point, example: NA Lucina available on Amazon [post link here] UPDATE: We are no longer accepting new members into our LINE Chat, except in special circumstances. We have reached optimal size with a group who all participate in monitoring websites. I would like to encourage anyone who was interested in joining in starting your own LINE chat. I can attest that it has been a success, with flying colors at that. If anyone would like to take the initiative and start their own LINE, by all means post your details in the thread and invite others to join. Wish you all much success in your Amiibo endeavors!

Not sure if this is everyone, but I went to Toys R Us in two locations (by random chance) yesterday and there was a mass abundance of Villager and 3 Mii packs. Like so many it could be at least another day or two before they're totally gone if they're actually rare.
But the Villager has a weird head in this reprint...

Amazon has some of the animal crossing amiibos for less than five dollars each. Poor things, I think they haven't sold very well.

Just picked up Charizard today at a GameStop. Looking up availability, Charizard, Jigglypuff, and Lucario all got a minor restock in my area, could be good news for other areas if you're looking for Pokemon. They all say low availability, but it's the first I've seen any of those three in a while.

@Waluigi: Oooh. I knew the eyes changed but I thought the head changed too. I actually kind of don't like either version. The new eyes make him look totally egg headed and the old one looks like he had his eyes dialated at the optometrist. They needed to make the eye size in between the 2 they choose lol

@Meowpheel: Nintendo probably thought that the AC amiibos would sell well due to brand recognition, but since these guys are accompanied by AC: Amiibo Festival, they probably didn't sell well.
