I find funny the fact they made the "wall drawing link", a completely 2D aproach and the top view thing too looks like nintendo has some kind of ace up on the sleeve because why would they make a 3DS game with such a 2D appeal(specially a zelda one because most people keep saying all the time how the OoT formula was the "best ever") I beleive there will be something really surprising and good in this game....

E3, my man.

If the 3DS can get a Wario Land and Kirby as well, I think I'll be quite satiated.

I really like Link's design.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

I wonder if tingle will be in this game?

I'm more excited for this than any other game thus far for the 3DS! Graphics looks great! I cannot wait!

Maybe as a bonus, they could include with it the original ALttP.

Add the old Lttp or a new one with this graphics/egine/etc?.

Hm, I was thinking about just the classic original (I still love playing it), but definitely no complaints if they could redo it with those visuals!

Maybe if I give it a chance,It'll look more appealing.
I mean,Without that 3D,It looks HORRID.
I might watch the 3D trailer,That should make me like this new Zelda Game.

Really excited for this! Probably what I'll be getting for Christmas.

Also, they couldn't have picked a better art style. It's like they brought the official art work of ALttP to life, which is more fitting than anything else they could have come up with (because of all the other connections to ALttP).

So you haven't gotten a Nintendo handheld since the GBA?

Ugh. Men.

I'm getting this. At first I thought it was toon Link, but I saw it was more of a mix between the LttP Link, but 3D automatically makes him look like toon Link slightly IMO.
I think it looks pretty good.

I am not convinced yet! Of course I'll buy it and will get some fun out of it, and I am sure there's some new, exciting stuff in it (they already showed the new, cool wallpainting mechanic).

But to me it looks rather cheap, especially if you compare it to the fantastic looking upcoming Mario and Luigi (and the new Yoshi's island looks pretty sweet too). To me it looks more like a fan-project, and one that's probably not "epic" enough for a retail release! Besides, I was never a gigantic fan of Alttp to begin with!

Well, at least it's no remake! I'll wait and see!

Because they're completely different styles of games.

So what? It doesn't matter if a certain game in the series looks different or is in a different perspective from another. You shouldn't judge a game by that.

I meant gameplay styles. They actually play really different from eachother, so of course people are gonna choose one over the other. I know I like both, but greatly prefer the top-down 2D ones.

@Groose_Lord I think he was in the video.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Watched the trailer on the 3ds, it was cool, the drawn link is a different ablity though, but hopefully the next zelda will be a 3d one since those are the ones I enjoy most....and the fact you could play a ton of 2d zeldas on the 3ds (ds zeldas, vc zeldas).

I fear for the length of the game. After, many recent 3DS entries in familiar franchise feel, thus far, lacking in length and perhaps even difficulty.

MAJOR EDIT:

Where would this fit on the Zelda Timeline?

For those familiar, Hyrule fell after A Link to the Past which in turn led to the "wasteland" of Zelda I and Zelda II. How can a game be set right after ALttP, especially since the Master Sword really is forever gone in this branch of the timeline?

Also, if I am correct, I believe the Triforce of Courage was lost during this timeline. After the Hero of Time fell, the 3rd Triforce faded into legend only to be reassembled in Zelda II.

doesn't common sense dicate affter ALTTP and before Zelda 1

What about Link's Awakening??? Dose this game fall before or after LA? It is question we need answered so we can update our Hyrule Historia, or something...

As a lover of ALttP/LA/OoA/OoS-style Zelda, I very much approve of what I've seen so far. The game looks good in 3D, and I'm really interested to see what clever puzzles they'll come up with for the "paper-ization" mechanic.

I just want to know one thing though, something I couldn't tell even after watching the trailer three times - can Link's sword still go through walls?
