if they made a single game that was a pack of a select few virtual boy games i think that might go over alright. maybe like a 10 dollar eshop only download with 4 or 5 games, and maybe an option to change colours of background and sprites.
And that's it. That's not a worthy investment. What they should do is remake Wario Land 3D, maybe as a 3D Classic or something.
i think there would be many people who would buy at least one virtual boy game on the 3DS just for the sake of being able to play one of the games for that infamous console. if its one or two $ im in
Not a chance
Because the games would have to be remakes. That's why
i guess what im trying to say is that there is this library of games that are already done, under the brand "Virtual Boy" which was 3d, and now they have a mass produced and accepted 3d console. just makes sense to bring those games as is to 3ds eshop.. maybe bundle all the games into one download for 1000 points or something..
im not saying the games were good or worth it but they were there.. and it would be fun to see what they were since i never got to play them.. i guess i could just watch someones video on youtube of them.
just looked it up.. maybe not all the games.. too many to put into a bundle.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Virtual_Boy_games
Well the point is, would Nintendo make enough money from these games to justify developing and testing an emulator for it? I'm guessing no. Maybe they'd sell one game per system to people who were curious, but that'd be about it.
There's a lot of things Nintendo took risks on in the past that they didn't make a lot of money from, but they still did it regardless. What's different here? And how can you definitively say they won't make enough money? They could be a smash hit for all you know, or they could flop. You can't say one way or the other. And if Sega can invest in digging old games and giving them 3D overhauls, why can't Nintendo do the same?

They could be emulated and fairly easily. (Somebody already did and in a way that you cannot do when you have to try and support many games).
They made an n64 emulator for just the preorder bonus disk that came with Windwaker.

Here's what I think they should be doing for the virtual boy games.
Make it colorful and give it for free since the system flopped and that no one cared about it, now's the chance to actually make free games like Wario Land and all since most of them are very short.....
Yes, because porting video games from an awful, commercial failiure of a console is such a great idea - Nintendo really would hit the big time with sales!
The best handhelds there have ever been were both commercial failures. (Turboexpress / Sega Nomad). The games that are on them have aged far better than what Nintendo was selling at the time. (Handheld TG16 or Megadrive no cut down versions or black and white).
Sometimes in Film things are made even knowing they are quite likely to be a commercial failure for heritage type purposes. (Even Sega does it. The Nights Into Dreams / Jet Set Radio / Sonic Adventure 2 Battle ports. Sega Heritage collection. The Virtual Boy is part of Nintendo's Heritage.

Probably because the red and black display would be painful to look at for long periods of time.
I played Mutant Mudds in 3D for the most part, but when I found those secret red and black areas, I regretted it.
If they find a way to make the red and black not as harsh or have a way to change the color to black and white (like the green color option on GB games), then bring them on. There're only like, 13 titles for the thing anyway, right?
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
