Topic: Why Do You Play 3DS?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Why do I play 3DS? To rub it in the faces of all my friends who can't see 3D. Sucks to be them.

I mainly play the 3DS now to use Colors! 3D and to find images off of the browser to use as frames in Colors! 3D. After getting the 2DS, I feel like I'll be using the 3DS as a backup when that system needs recharged when it comes to actual games.

Gaming and streetpass. Vita is a much better multimedia device.

I use it to play retail and eshop games. Nintendo is the only handheld console I would ever play. 3DS is the best handheld console I like to play. I really don't like the current nintendo consoles though. The wii and the wii u didn't keep my interest for very long. I still play the nintendo gamecube though.

My reasons for playing the 3DS are simply:

1. It's Nintendo and I would not touch another handheld
2. Games (mainly Pokémon)
3. Streetpass is a superb idea

It's pink. It's pretty. It has Streetpass. It has Swapnote. It has Friends list. And it has Pokeymans. Why wouldn't I want to play it?

The 3DS library is amazing, I'm currently playing SMT IV, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, and Pokemon X, with Rune Factory 4, Hometown Story and Zelda in waiting. Plus eShop, VC and DSI games for short bursts, have a DS cartridge in the game slot. Hundreds of games at my fingertips at all times. I LOVE THIS CONSOLE.

For the handheld gaming experience, which includes the games, street pass, etc.

Great question. I bought a Wii U in April after a nearly ten year absence of playing video games (last system was Gameboy Advance). I liked it so much I thought I'd give the 3ds a whirl. I've been playing my 3ds so much that I haven't been playing my Wii U at all hardly, even tho I just bought W101 and Rayman, which are both great games. There's some good games on the 3ds- and I'm sure some of of the reason that I'm playing the 3ds is b/c it's a new toy (got on Aug. 30th).

But I think one of the main reasons is for the portability and convenience. You can play, stop, play, stop much easier than on a console. And even with the gamepad, it's still kind of a hassle for the others who might not want to play games- not all games play on the gamepad equally well.

Games, a lot of options

3DS is the best system ever. Yeah everyone can say I'm crazy and how good Xbox and Playstation are, but can you take those systems on a plane? How can someone not like Animal Crossing: New Leaf or New Super Mario 2 or Mario Kart 7 or Pokemon X and Y or even the not yet released The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (Man, I want that game more than anything). Nintendo is the best and no one can ever change my mind on that.
