They're not. Denpa Men is more than worth 10 bucks from what I hear, Mighty Switch Force is worth 6(?)bucks, and Pushmo is worth every penny. The prices are higher than DSiWare ever was though. That's because these games are a million times better. There's more money and resources being out into these games so they have to give it a higher price tag so they can earn back a profit.
Both Pokémon apps are overpriced...
But I've been more than happy with everything else I've purchased. People only say that eShop apps are expensive because iOS apps are usually $1.99 or less.
Honestly, as long as a game is quality, I find it rewarding to play, and I get what I find is a good amount of content from it, I'm fine paying anything for it(besides souls which are stupidly non-exchangeable on Earth!).
@Machamp_King - Unless you have a 2nd DS in addition to your 3DS, you may just want to check Amazon or a video game retailer like Best Buy for a paperback B2/W2 Dex. Seems more efficient imo to have a paperback instead of constantly having to shuffle between your game and a Dex app, and you can probably find one for cheaper than the "expensive" $15 eShop one.
The only ones I feel is overpriced are the Pokemon ones. $15 for something I can essentially get on the Internet is ridiculous, and Dream Radar doesn't have enough available to get for the price.
Everything is fairly priced besides those useless Pokemon apps and Nicalis ports ($8 for a 5 dollar game with less content?). EDIT: I forgot Mutant Mudd. It WAS on the 3DS eShop first, but because of how terribly unfair it is to us I'm including that. ($9 on 3DS vs $5 on PC vs $1 on iOS? What the hell is that!?)
Games like Denpa Men and Dillon's Rolling Western? Those have the length of full retail titles at $10. Totally worth it. Games like EscapeVektor and Order Up aren't as fit for retail IMO but are still definitely worth $10.
Shorter games (Usually around 2-3 hours) like Mighty Switch Force and Sakura Samurai are still priced fairly at $6-7 (considering if you multiply that by 5 you'd get 10-15 hours like what a typical retail title is).
And then we have the in-between titles like Art of Balance: Touch which offer us a good 6-7 hours for inbetween prices.

Yeah, I can't afford FREE.
And 3D Pro is 10 dollars less than the App version.

Nothing on the Eshop is overpriced. If it's $8, it's usually a long game or a well made one. And pokedex 3D pro isn't even something you can complain about, as it's the SAME price as the paper book, if not cheaper. Plus it's 10 dollars less than the iOS

This isn't free, and it isn't really that great considering that the only exclusive, worthwhile content is the legendary Pokémon(I.E. Therian formes). It just severely lacks content. And the Pokédex 3D Pro is awful, considering you can get a physical guide for only slightly more, and get much more from it.
