after the nintendo direct i never saw any white ones announced. there was also a blue one in their earlier videos...

also where is the transferable face plates?

North America is only getting the XL version (red or black) which doesn't have removable face plates of the regular sized new 3DS. North America is the ONLY region not getting regular new 3DS and Nintendo of America are facing a sizeable backlash over their decision to only release the XL in their territory.
