There's still a lot of franchises from both 1st & 3rd party that are yet to make an appearance, and I know for a fact I missed a lot (especially on the 3rd party front). Of course, some of the ones I mentioned probably aren't likely.

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Exactly my thoughts when I saw this thread! Though, those are my thoughts when I see any thread... I'd rather have a Wii U version though. It's best played with people who are all in the same room.
Anyways, Wrecking Crew could be a good game. I'd like to see a Game and Watch Gallery 5, too. It should have ALL the games and they should ALL be unlocked. The only unlockables I think should be in games are trophies and achievements, or bonuses like behind the scenes footage or concept art. I hated how in Game and Watch Gallery 4 there were so many games I couldn't play because it's so hard to get enough stars.
I honestly dont care about the 1st party games on my 3DS that much. Its the same games over and over as well as too much overflow between Ips on the 3DS and Wii U. I'm looking forward to the 3rd party games MUCH more.
May as well list all that I know hasn't been done:

Kirby
Star Fox (new game)
F-Zero
Wario Land
WarioWare

Xenoblade
Super Smash Bros (yet)

It wasn't groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it more than any other Call of Duty (I only had a Wii and DS versions, but got them used and sold quickly). Touchscreen controls were really good and gameplay could rival a good console title, as it was diverse and very action packed. I don't remember how many hours I put into it, but I beat it three times and had an absolute blast.
It could turn into a pretty good shooter for the 3DS, as it would allow for a lot more action on the screen, online multiplayer and perhaps some vehicle action to rival Battlefield.
When it comes to games obviously we're missing a lot. If we step out of games I'd say the usual stuff such as a chat application (which probably won't happen since the whole Swapnote fiasco), A unified online account system, gaming connectivity with the Wii U, Apps for Social Websites. Other than that the 3DS has come a long way (bought it on release so I know) and it keeps getting better.

I wouldn't want Golden Sun game just now as Bravely Default came out last month (and is coming next month) maybe next gen? also we need a 4th model of the 3DS as the DS had 4 forms, the original, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL
Currently playing:
Pokemon X
Bravely Default
